Most civil servants hate to be addressed as "Workerholics!".

It was on a Friday, my landlord arrived late from work with sweaty clothes. I could hear so much noise coming from his apartment. His wife had tagged him as one (WORKERHOLIC).

Though, I wouldn't blame my landlord much for his actions simply because I felt he must be very hungry. At least, one out of his daughters should have offered him food first since their mother is unfit at the moment.

At about 10pm, I wasn't sleepy. My Landlord's second daughter was sitting outside with me taking "fresh-air". At exactly 12:47am, the dogs at the back yard started barking.

We actually thought, maybe they had seen another snake again. I made a move immediately to the backyard while she went back into the house.

"Oh my gosh!!!" There were five men already in the compound with guns. Ak47 and sharp Cutlass.

I ran quickly into my landlord apartment instead of mine. I didn't lock the doors! I was so scared! My Landlord and his wife had already gone upstairs to sleep.

There was no time to think. I soon found myself inside the room where the four daughters were sleeping.

The second daughter asked what the matter was all about with the dogs? I told her that there were thieves in the compound. Immediately, she ran to lock all the doors! I woke all her sisters up and warned them not to say anything. The first daughter quickly called her parents using her phone. Her Dad called the DPO in-charge of the division where we lived.

It wasn't up to 30mins, we heard the siren from there vehicle in front of the gate. Shots were fired in the air. My landlord couldn't come outside the building but spoke to the policemen through his window.

In my mind, I said to myself WHAT A COWARD!!!

Hmmm! Coward is better oooh. These days I don't even trust anybody. This event happened on Friday, by Monday I was already looking for another house to RELOCATE!!!!

It's better safe than sorry, I wouldn't ever forget the day all of us in our hostel were robbed in Apatapiti Akure in a midnight, it was just like robbery in the movies, with a pistol, those guys took everything away, they even used my leather bag to carry those things, they took this guy's hard disk that contained all his project work, my laptop, my curve 7, my weekend soup money, but I'm alive, kicking, I'm thankful I wasn't shot
