Mukuru sits on 650 acres- slums is wedged btw rivers and industrial area
Mathare slums sit on maybe on 500 acres -
Korogocho sit on maybe 300 acres..

In total only about 5% of Nairobi is slum.

The rest look decent - except few high density slumscrappers like Pipeline - which occupy very small space.

60% of nairobi is slum,5% makes up the decent area I mentioned. 35% makes up fallow forest yet to be built in.

There is a reason why nominal GDP is used for many things including GDP per capita - and classification of countries into level of development.
USD doesn't just appreciate or depreciate.
Unless you're talking of currency manipulators.
Country that freely float their currency - USD is good barometer - and is gold standard here.

Don't blame nominal GDP for South African domestic woes.

Blame 1) Poor HCI 2) Poor electricity from Eskom 3) Corrupt and inefficient debt ridden public sectors including SAA, Railways and name it.

Finally blame the Boer for setting such a poor foundation for the country.
