The current administration is building 524 Roads and Bridges across Nigeria and most of these roads are dualized, those, many were started by the previous adminstration.

According to the Fashola, some of the prioritized road projects being funded through the Sovereign SUKUK Fund, include:


Abuja-Abaji Road (Section 1, International Airport Link Road Junction-Sheda Village Junction)

Abuja-Lokoja Road Section IV (Koton Karfi-Lokoja)

Dualisation of Obajana Junction-Benin Phase 2: Section 1 (Obajana Junction to Okene)

Construction of Oju/Loko-Oweto Bridge to Link Loko and Oweto

Reconstruction of Bida-Lambata Road in Niger State

Dualization of Suleja-Minna Road Phase 11 in Niger State

They also include Kano-Maiduguri Road (Section ii, iii and iv)

Rehabilitation of an outstanding section of Onitsha-Enugu Expressway: Amansea- Enugu State Border

Dualization Of Obajana Junction-Benin Phase 2: (Section ii, iii and iv)

Rehabilitation of Enugu-Port Harcourt Road Section iv: Aba-Port Harcourt

Dualization Of Yenegwe Road Junction-Kolo-Otuoke-Bayelsa Palm (20km)

Others include:

Dualization of Ibadan-Ilorin (Section ii) in Oyo State,

Reconstruction of the outstanding Sections of Benin-Ofosu-Ore-Ajebandele-Shagamu Expressway Phase iii,

Pavement strengthening and asphalt overlay of Ajebandele- Ijebu Ode-Shagamu Road in Ogun State.

Some of the projects scheduled for substantial completion in 2020/2021 and other priority projects, according to the Minister, include:

Rehabilitation of Alesi-Ugep (Iyamoyung-Ugep) Section in Cross River State

Construction of Yenegwe-Okaki-Kolo-Nembe-Brass Road

Completion of rehabilitation of Ada-Okere-Ukoni-Amedokhiom Old Road, Uromi, Edo State

The rehabilitation of Odukpani-Itu-Ikot Ekpene Road in (Section i) and Odukpani-Itu Bridge Head in Cross River State

Construction of Bodo-Bonny Road with a bridge across the Opobo Channel, in Rivers State,

Rehabilitation of Odukpani Junction-Akpet Central Section of Calabar-Ikom-Ogoja Road in Cross River State

Rehabilitation of Oshogbo-Ilesha Road in Osun State

Dualization of Abeokuta-Ibadan Road

Reconstruction of Apapa-Wharf Road in Lagos State, among others

The four bridges under the priority projects are:

Construction of Ibi Bridge

Completion of construction of Chanchangi Bridge along Takum-Wukari Road in Taraba State

Construction of Ikom Bridge in Cross River State

The emergency rehabilitation/maintenance of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos

The construction of Agaie-Katcha-Barro Road in Niger State

Isiolo-Moyale 505km road is completed.

Isiolo - Lamu is under ground breaking.

The road is under lapset corridor which will interconnect landlocked countries like Ethopia and south Sudan.


Check the stats. (60% of the roads below are completed.

The Main LAPSSET Corridor Roads include; –

Lamu Port access road (10km) - competed
Lamu-Witu Garsen road (113km) - competed
Lamu-Garisa-Isiolo road (530km) - ground breaking
Isiolo-Moyale-Hawassa road (505km) - competed
Isiolo- Lokichar – Nadapal – Torit – Juba Road (700km) - 70% compete

If all this is true then trust me this is a massive step in the right direction .

One thing this administration is known for is the fact that they hardly abandon any project, Itake- Warri rail line is completed after 33 years, Lagos Ibadan rail was started in 2017 and now completed, Maiduguri road is 92% completed, 300km+ Abuja Kano road project which got started just 2017 is now 33% completed, Abuja-Lokoja road is undergoing road markings, 10 lanes Ph-Enugu road is about 50% completed and many more

Annually we are adding more than 2,000 Kms of new roads. The old network are well maintained. Most of murram roads all over kenya are also well maintained.

Outering - that serves eastland is done and dusted. Nigerian idiots finally completed enteprises road in Industrial area.
The western bypass will make complete ring around Nairobi - about 150kms - the eastern and northern - need to be dualized.
Ngong road from upper hill - all the way to Karen to Ngong is near complete in dualization.
We are building serious interchanges and expanding upper hill roads.


Look at this upper hill via duct. Imagine completion of Nairobi expressway. Then Thika road fixed many rounds around CBD and upperhill.
