It's impossible

Enugu is PDP and PDP is Enugu

The state has no opposition.

That's why this female governor is having a field day.
Lol, no state is a one party state sooner or later another party will rule

So urhobo next abi?
Possibly, it's for people in that zone to provide the best candidate. Ibori is Urhobo, Uduaghan is Itsekiri even though they are cousins. Okowa is Anioma which is completing it's term with Ijaw as Deputy

It has rotated
It can now start from any part again.

Ebeano people wrote this.
Nkanu people have had their share of governance in Enugu. It can return to the senatorial district that Nkanu falls under, but not Nkanu per se.

Chimaroke and Ugwuanyi are parochial leaders. They put the interests of their people first above any other. Sullivan was after general good.

I think Enugu needs more of parochial leaders so as to develop the rural areas. But while at it, don't abandon the state capital.

If we don't develop the rural areas, people will keep leaving their local communities to urban centres just to have a taste of development. Well, that will amount to allowing Fulani herders to take over our rural bushes.

It's an unwritten agreement, just like in Delta it has brought calm to the polity as everyone knows the next zone it's going.
and it is good for even development.

What is fair is fair.
Why disrupt what is already on ground, that assured peace for everyone because a man have long interest to occupy the lion building.

[quote author=Nigga44 post=98935357]Point of correction; not all the zones have gone for 2 times. Enugu west has only been able to produce Sullivan Chime as governor and no one else.

Christian Onoh is from ENUGU EAST. His side of hometown of Ngwo is under ENUGU NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA which falls under ENUGU EAST SENATORIAL ZONE.

Having said that, it is quite certain that Enugu west has been grossly sidelined in this rotation. So in the spirit of equity and fairness, the incoming governor should be a competent man/woman from ENUGU west.

Enugu north has been there 2 times.
Enugu east has been there 3 times.
Enugu west has only gone once.

Let us be fair and just in this....so that we can maintain the present peace in our state and not return us back to the dark years of political thuggery and violence.

Who told u all these ?? Enugu under onoh nwangwo was when Enugu was under Anambra state, the dispensation mentioned started from 1999 as stated by the OP. We are the Enugu East and to be precise, it rightfully belongs to ndi isi_uzo

Yes. It is possible that the current Deputy Senate President may emerged as the Governor.
APC win in Delta state? It's easier for PDP to win in Lagos state than APC winning in Delta state.

If PDP wants to lose Enugu state, let them tamper with the zoning arrangement. It is the turn of Enugu east senatorial zone to produce the next governor of the state.
We already have a candidate in the person of Rt Hon. Nnolim Nnaji.

Give us Nnoli and Enugu state shall continue to be great!

Even if he goes back, they can't give him the ticket. Delta state PDP has the list of possible governorship candidate for next 20 years, which he knows, that is why he left. The bond between those guys is strong.

How many house of representative and house of assembly does PDP had in Lagos state in 2015? The only senate APC won in Delta state was won with only two LGA out of 9 LGA that made up of the senatorial District. Can you use that to win a governorship election? What was the margin between PDP and APC in Lagos state in the last four governorship elections compare that with that of Delta state, then you will know who is close to winning their rival states. Which Delta south are you talking about? Even with Udughan in their fold, they were not even close to winning a house of assembly not to talk of when he has deasarted them.
Re: Enugu Governorship: To Rotate Or Not To Rotate? by toxict14: 10:01pm On Feb 10, 2021
For sake of fairness, justice, peace and equity, Enugu East senatorial district (Isi-Uzo LGA) to be specific should be given the nod come 2023.
Anything contrary to the above could translate to the opposition clinching power in Enugu State.

Oga,pdp won house of reps in lagos in areas dominated by heavily by igbos and Niger deltans who prefer pdp.if it was dominated by yorubas or mixed, they will never win anything.lagos state is cosmopolitan and is made up of mostly settlers so apc still holding that state is marvellous but pdp has never won any senate or guber elections there.pdp does not dominate any senatorial zone in lagos.
In delta, opposition has won Senate seat 3 times.ogboru won governorship three times but was rigged out.oga, delta central has 8 local governments.omo agege won 4 LGAs, Evelyn oboro won 4.ughelli federal constituency is represented by rev waive of apc.apc almost won ethiope federal seat but were rigged out. Apc won 4 assembly seat out of 29 while in lagos pdp has 3 out of forty. Apc is very strong in warri and isoko areas
