Abia state is an oil and gas producing state.. Lots of the gas that will be piped to Zinder via Marada in Niger republic will come from Abia state and neighboring Imo state! If Abia state is allowed to keep all her oil and gas revenue the same way Zamfara is allowed to keep her earnings from gold, the state will surely be amongst the richest in the country.. The federal government can't be taking all oil earnings from a state and turn back to give the state peanuts while the same states are accused of being poor. .
