The Kano to Maradi train line is about the most expensive ever concieved as it is set to cost a whooping $2bn. The distance between Kano to Maradi is just 274km with the existing road network. Assuming this rail line passes through this same route that serves several towns and villages, this will amount to about $7million per kilometer which is roughly 3.5bn naira. At $7mlll dollars per kilometer for a single carriage lockomotive rail line , this is more than double the average cost of $3.5million per kilometer for a dual high speed rail line including the overhead electric cables. Now, why is Nigeria building a railway line with loans from China that will cut deep into Maradi, Niger? This Maradi offers virtually no single economic benefits to Nigeria other than it is the real ancestral home of Khalifar Buhari. Why is Niger Republic not coughing up part of its own commitment both now and in future loan repayments ? Other than goats and Bokos , nothing whatsoever of any value is coming from Niger Republic. Consider also that this is Niger Republic with a GDP of $13bn. This rail project is more than 10% of Niger economy and we are constructing a rail at twice the cost of a modern high speed electric rail line into the shittiest part of that shithole ? How much does the average gross earnings is a Nigerien earning these days? At $600 on average per citizen per annum, this amounts to less than $2 a day. If this isn't dirt broke poverty then Ibadan is Dubai. What madness is this? And why is nobody doing anything to stop this lunatic called Buhari? This money would have done wonders if channeled into power generation projects or agriculture rather we are throwing money into a latrine because that latrine is Buhari's ancestral shithole village. What of the ongoing oil refinery currently being built in Daura where not a single drop of oil exist. That refinery is going to utilize Oil from Niger Republic. So Niger Delta oil is paying for an oil refinery in Niger which will use Niger crude oil bought using oil proceeds of same Niger Delta oil. May God punish all of you Zombie bastards that supported this man into power. |

These two spent 13ys in office and saw to the greatest economic leap and standard of living you Afonjas have ever witnessed in your parasitic existence. Stick to the topic and tell us why your Khalifar is spending $2bn to build an outdated lockomotive railway line into a shithole Boko kingdom. Yaribanza |

Let's forget the huge corruption surrounding this project and the ceding of Nigeria's soverighty to China . Why are we constructing a railway line to the middle of nowhere? Niger Republic has nothing whatsoever to offer other than cross border bandits, Buhari illegal voters and arms smuggled in from across the Sahel. This money would have made more sense if a rail project was built with it connecting Lagos to Abuja or Calabar to Makurdi. The Kaduna rail project is still being heavily subsidized by the FG . What of Niger Republic with the majority earning less than $2 per day. This is pure madness and wickedness by Buhari and his fulani govt. |
