Some personnel of the Nigerian Air Force have been killed by bandits in an ambush along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, Igbere TV reports.

Air craftsman Abubakar Ahmad was among the victims killed on February 13, according to Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna South lawmaker.

Ahmad was to get married in three weeks’ time, Sani said.

“Air Craftsman Abubakar Muhammad Ahmad along with some of this colleagues were killed by Bandits in an ambush along Kaduna Birnin Gwari road yesterday. He was to get married in 3 weeks’ time,” he tweeted.

The former lawmaker said he was at Ahmad’s home in Kaduna on a condolence visit on Sunday.

Kaduna has been witnessing violence for months now, particularly in the rural communities. Many deaths have gone largely unreported.
