The Chevy Impala 2014 goes for N5.5m while the 2015 Chrysler 200 goes for N6.5m. I'm planning to go for the Chevy but a friend is advising that I go for the Chrysler. The Impala shares parts with Cadillac XTS, Buick lacrosse and saab 9-5 (failure ) GM vehicles are premium more advance and expensive than luxurious vehicles. It needs special techy and offcourse money money money just like Mr crabs in spongebob would say.

The Chrysler 200 is your best bet shares part with jeep cherokee and pacifica/voyager mini van which I have actually seen around especially the cherokee.

I am certain american brands would do you good but I prefer you pick the 200 and leave the Impala

Thank you. I am considering the chrysler because of the beauty and the interior design but the extra money is what I'm looking at now. And it looks like it's higher and will fit our road better, I don't want to have problems with speed bumps and the car exhaust pipe.

You're generalising here.

A FWD Toyota Corolla or Camry is a daily driver and not meant to give you thrills. A Mercedes A-class or GLA or BMW 2series is as "boring" or could even be less thrilling than a Corolla.

That said, there are Toyotas meant for thrilling driving. As much as they're as enjoyable as the other competitors, they're more reliable (you will spend less time stranded by the roadside and use your money to buy stocks rather than looking for new engine, SAMS, transmission, this and that you'll buy for repair of your car).

These enjoyable Toyotas are:

Toyota 86
Toyota Yaris GR
Toyota Supra (especially 1996 MK4 Supra)

I don't like benz, never loved it. Lexus is too trendy and now looks like toy to me. I have always wanted to try something different like Audi or chevy, even Volvo but I happen to see this Chrysler and got confused.

If you don't want a Dodge Challenger, then there's the Dodge Charger that looks less aggressive, comes with 4 doors but is said to be less reliable than a Challenger.

Again, I have never driven any of those American cars. I just have friends who drive them plus things I see online.

The first thing I do when I want to buy a car is read reviews from actual users online, meet people who drive them if any and check Edmunds and Consumer Reports, etc. So far I'm not seeing good stuff about the Chrysler.

Also check this RWD Lexus GS particular generation.

It doesn't look too fancy (I understand what you mean), is fast, feels heavy and as much fun to drive as a BMW or Porsche and most Euro cars. Plus you have Lexus bullet-proof reliability and peace of mind.

Lexus has always been expensive in the second hand market, because they've led reliability ratings for over 20 years.
