Another BIG WB project to grace us this year. But wondered why the hype was almost silent until now. The marketing was way too slow.


Even Dune wey I no even know sef and still got a far release date, I know of it's marketing, hype and anticipation. Well, maybe it's probably due to the Director and A-list cast.

Lol, we are in a pandemic. That's why.

What's the point of wasting huge sum of money in marketing a movie when at the end, people won't show up in major theaters due to the virus? Texas is currently facing power outage and extreme cold along side the pandemic, so watching a movie won't even be in their priority list rn.

Also, most all studios didn't even market their movies on the super bowl that just concluded, with the exception of Disney. And that's because the marketing fee was cheap. But at the end of the day, it still amounts to nothing, so why bother.

Right now, WB/HBO is using the Netflix formula in marketing their movies, by creating hype 2 months in advanced, which has been yielding result.

Have you seen the cast, it's well selected, only Joe as Sub-Zero is enough to carry the movie.

It has the potential to be amazing if executed properly but....movie adaptations of video games titles have often been unsuccessful. All had great potential but low realization. Odds are the new MK movie will likely suck.

He'll turn undead eventually. They're probably showing footage of when he was human before dying and being resurrected in the Netherrealm.
