I have a mini laptop but whenever I try to play a hevc or those netnaija movies it lags. I have tried vlc and some other players. Please I need someone to come to my aid on how to solve the issue

Might be problem from your graphics drivers. Download DriverEasy, do a scan and install them drivers.

not a driver issue, his mini laptop can't play codec H.265hevc video format. It's not compatible

But is there a way to play it? When it plays via vlc it lags like crazy

ur laptop doesn't support that video format... I don't think something can be done

Try updating your drivers first. vlc should be able to play H.265hevc well even on low hardware.

Don't bother updating anything. Your laptop can't play it. Na hardware not software problem.

Upgrade your laptop or get a used phone that can play it.

Fixed it already. Got another player with native hevc codecs
