You talk of violence, what do you know about violence?

What you cooking, you can't eat it.

Take a tour to Kigali memorial center and comeback here to talk about violence.

What you clamour for, you will fear. You will be scared of what you typed earlier.

It doesn't work by force as a fictional book states. Dialogue is ultimate
violence work in Nigeria. bandits, killers, and kidnappers are rewarded by government u

How much is he going to pay in compensation? A message is being passed continuously - trailer has passed in between Yoruba and Fulani! High time our Southern ass licking governors/political leaders realise that! undecided
You didn't speak well.

Your analysis was undiplomatic and crude. You made sense like one from a 3rd world country.

You forget to realise that our diversity is our strength, and it has made nations who harnessed it, great!

It is wrong to shoot people's cattle unprovoked.

The compensation is in order since it has been established that there was no farmer/herder clash.

Some people are trying to cause chaos in the state! angry

In Ikpeazu's case he chose to compensate herders after clashing with Igbo farmers. Now, that's slavish!! angry

Our diversity was meant to be a strength, but it's a weakness in this case! I personally hate violence, but desperate situations call for desperate measures! Do you realise we no longer get food stuff from Oke Ogun to buy in Ibadan markets anymore? Farmers have been chased away from their farms without harvests, women have been raped, breadwinners slaughtered all in the name of diplomacy undecided

Such news wouldn't go viral or make front page. That would be a bad news to the enemies of the state. The fight is politically & regionally doctored.

In all, diplomacy remains the best approach. I scroll through this forum and happen to see all. I noticed majority complains without in accord proffering solutions.

The ethnic and religious bias has eaten deep into the system. RUGA was shot down, did anybody come with a more brilliant approach? I was amazed about Nigerians talking about "Our Land". It's was depressing reading such... Knowing the amount of unused landmass across each state. This idea would have encapsulated the activities of this men when states and Federal are supportive.

We talk about diversifying from crude and agriculture seems to be the most feasible venture we can diversify into, but we not still yet to put our differences apart and move-on.

If I think about how much baliouts and agriculture gets in North America, it starts dawning on me Nigeria has a long way to go. This same developed nations have harnessed this industry.

In a nutshell, our differences has made us blind.

Sincerely I don't know if there is a political undertone to all these, but then, efforts should be made to encourage peace and justice should be served, as at when due.The palpable tension we are experiencing is very unnecessary and unfortunate.

Present Nigerian Government is just but monumental failure and so dumb.

Put an end to open grazing and this problem is solved simple. This is 21st century no sane country that wishes to join developed country still does open grazing.

Even Netherlands that produce the milk almost all countries of the world uses today including nigeria does not practice open grazing why cant we embrace peaceful approach to issues that concerns this nation.

Rather each time certain group comes up with a good idea that will better their welfare the other group will shut it down just because it has not come from them or because it would make the lives of other group better.

Honestly total Restructuring is the key. Let every group or state manage their territory and resources.

Re: Makinde Compensates Owners Of Shot Cows, Foots Medical Of Injured Victims by wntnews:
A WAKE-UP CALL TO ALL NIGERIANS

I had a scary dream a few years ago where I saw a rag-tagged army took over many parts of Nigeria, Yoruba lands not excluded. A lot of people were surprised about the sudden fall of our nation in the hands of these heartless herders. It happened so fast as most people were unprepared, complacent, or rather turn deaf ears to numerous warning signs.

I remembered in the dream, the bandits were very deadly, dirty, bloody, and merciless. They were not like the regular army. These bandits had no respect for any life. (children, elderly, men, women, pregnant, etc). Everything on their path was met with utter destructions. People were baffled and many were left behind wailing and asking themselves how they all got here.

Also, I saw helpless souls running halter skitter. Many were asking or calling for help from the International communities (UN, OAU, America, etc) But, sadly, these bodies cared less as lots of perishing and fear-gripped souls were left to die in the hands of these dangerous and bloody bandits. Our neighboring countries were besieged and overwhelmed with refugees sheltering at their borders,. Lots of people were hungry, helpless, and sick. Many of our brothers and sisters were anxiously looking for a way to escape these carnages but were made to turn back.

In that dream, I saw big-name/top politicians, celebrities, rich and poor become so weak, and were turned into crying puppets. No one believed Nigeria would ever turn this nasty and chaotic.; and the worst of it all, was that we were pre-warned numerous times, but we never took the warnings serious. Sad! Today, see what has come upon us all.

What an agonizing dream! I woke up panting and sweating heavily. It was a terrifying encounter I could not imagine that I was having a dream about what is going to happen to Nigeria. , so real, it appeared as if I was on the battlefield of World War II.

I did share my encounter on Twitter for the record, unfortunately, Twitter took off the post because of its graphic nature. But a few friends I shared the dream with did not believe me either. Folks, am telling you, If you think this is another conspiracy theory, then you are on your own. Just look around you today, and see how our cities and villages are now under siege by the Fulani herdsmen.

You may pretend it isn't real, Just wait and see. A word is enough for the wise. It has taken the Fulanis many years in planning. They've encircled our so-called Yoruba land while we were asleep, busy fighting each other, playing "owambe music" We may have the pen, but Fulanis' got the A-K-47. Who's got the power?

Folks, these enemies are not only physical but spiritual. ..How can we explain to our children that a raggy, mostly illiterate, mal-nourished Fulanis, with less than 0.1 % in our communities is holding the entire 99% able-body hostage? Yet we have our so-called leaders continue to remain silent, trying to be politically correct while we continue to endure more rape, horrible killings, and dehumanization.

All Yoruba sons and daughters (home and abroad) should rightly be pissed off with our leaders and some of our politicians. God forbid, I don't want to wake up one day and read in the headlines that Fulani bandits have killed all Yoruba leaders, and then we are left with no one to fight for us. Folks, it is now time to prepare for the worst. It's not going to be better, but horrible days are ahead. I wish we can learn from history. Meanwhile, I will be taking your comments. God bless.

I am 99% sure that Oyo people won't reelect Gov Makinde for a second term in office due to the way he has handled the Fulani vs farmers crises in his state. Its as if he is taking sides with the Fulani's. The man is too weak and dull for my liking.

Then who will compensate the farmers that their farms were being destroyed?
Our politicians are part of the problem we have in this nation. We want to be self- relayant on agriculture but we can stand up to defend the farmers. Is it only cows/ Fulani people that are affected by this crisis, why compensate only the herders? After you want them to be law abiding.

In as much that agree with you? Can you proffer a better solution to this menace?

Ranching is the way to go... And states and Federal need to support in all fairness. Religious and ethnic lines won't just let us hit the hard resolutions.
I have proffered the solution in another post, maybe you didn't read it.

Ranching is the way, but not on public land. Intending ranchers should buy or lease the land they want to use, not communities giving up their lands for herders ranching program.

you're right but the quote below should also be added.. so that the legal security institution will be differentiated from the illegal security institution... you don't expect a legal security outfit to attack people.

Felabarmudia:
Create your own bandits and stop complaining, that's the way to go now...by the time you create your own unknown gun men and behave like your enemies the equation will be balanced and the government will listen when you talk.

Because Governors have political ambitions. Rearing of Cows are a business dominated by the Fulani, they see it as part and parcel of their way of life. Hence, by extension, the Fulanis must be appeased if anything happens to their Cows.

Afterall, for now they are the ones in control of Nigeria's power structure as handed over to them by the British. So the Sultan of Sokoto approve, the Fulani Ruling Elite must approve, otherwise you (career politician) will never rise to nothing.

The farmers you refer to spread across Nigeria are, or represent mostly the interests of, middle-income earners in Nigeria. They do not wield any real political force of their own. They are not a group or bloc, they do not vote as a group or bloc, they do not control anything per se.The herdsmen you see represent the interests of the Hausa-Fulani Elite. This Elite controls the Presidency, the Presidency control all apparatus of government and the Hausa-Fulani Elite control their horde of underaged and foreign voters in the North. As a career politician in Nigeria today, you need the backing/approval of Hausa-Fulani elite to win elections on the Federal level.

I hope this answers your question.
AkalaJ:
Why are these governors always quick to compensate the herdsmen but leave the farmers to their fate when the herders' cows destroy their cops? If it was a farmer that complained about his farm being vandalized by the herders cattle, I am sure Makinde and the police won't have acted on it. God dey.
Re: Makinde Compensates Owners Of Shot Cows, Foots Medical Of Injured Victims by slowice(m): 7:39am On Feb 22, 2021
All southern governors are rushing to pamper the fulani, i really ve no problem with that but same governors ve never compensated farmers who re even indigenes of the land. Farmers ve been killed and their farms grazed repeatedly, villages ransacked by criminal herdsmen since 2015 but no compensation whatsoever.

The handwriting on the wall is very clear... Those doubting it's possibility are just playing the ostrich. We re on our own in this and the worst is yet to come.
