I have been begging us in the south to BOYCOTT COW MEAT so that the herdsmen killings will stop. If the initiative is coming from Miyeti Allah, I plead with southerners to support it so that the herdsmen will stay in the north for the killings,raping and kidnapping to end.
Our people can’t fight them with bare hands, because the actual cattle owners who are the senators,Governors,their politicians and other rich men there are the ones that procure the AK 47 rifles for the herders to menace around,eg Gov Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

The last I checked, people are not hungry in Benin republic, Ghana, etc. Let the food perish in the north and let create more farming opportunities in the south. After all the boundaries are opened now.

I stopped eating beef since over 15years now because of high cholesterol and now it has regulated, i am now sound, beef is not even good for health,

I forgot beef and onions are metal objects. I thought they were classified as food items.

I also forgot that the name of the association is "cows and onions only merchant’s association", not Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria.

I have chicken, local and agric, I have � goat too, I grow my own tomatoes or I buy from farmers market, am looking for onions seeds now cuase everything that grows in the north grows in ondo state. Now cassava is cost now cause herders have finished the farm.

There was a time, about 3-4years or so ago, when tomatoes were not only very expensive,but even so scarce;it was that year I knew tomatoes were also grown in the Southwest with their own breed.
Though not as tasty as that from the North,but many people had to make do with that breed of Swestern tomatoes.
When push comes to shove,there would always be an alternative because the entire South and the middle Belt are thick in the rainforest zones,and this is always the best kind of climate for food crops and even animals.
It's just that the ready availability of these foodstuffs from the North has not made people in other zones to explore the vast potentials of their lands.

what made the difference was that successive military regimes gave away alot of fertilizers to the northerners than the farmers in the south, the tomatoes from the North is not even a Nigerian breed, it was introduced in the 80s,tomatoes is everywhere in the southwest, we hardly buy tomatoes when I was young, simply go into the garden pluck some and you are good to go. Onions is a different case tho.

They deserve to be compensated, any small issue down South they are the first to be attacked due to envie and hatred and laziness. During end SARS protests also, wat d dey achieve down south from violence apart from looting people's hard earned businesses

You should not be worried about them not wanting to supply beef, because they will kill themselves with poverty and rotten meat and vegetables,if they choose to do so.

The only worry is that they will resort to their usual terrorism to have their way.
