To him, burying the dead in the house is better than burying the dead in a cemetery.

Yes because every Kenyan has freehold title to their land for eternity we can keep our love ones for eternity. Now Ghana..community own 80% of all land..both rural and urban..20% owned by gov..private land is zero.Dont wonder why despite all the gold all the last 100yrs you're poor..accra look like Juba or Niamey

In Ghana, all Government lands were given to Government by the Chiefs and families.

Unlike Kenyatta and moi republic, if Ghana Government wants to build any public facility in a community, the Government will inform the Chiefs and they will give the Government a suitable land, that's all.

If it's a Family land, the Government will approach the owners(family), if they agree to sell the land, fine. If not the Government will go elsewhere so Ghana Government have no problem acquiring lands.

As for burying the dead in the house, such practice is seriously discouraged here in Ghana. Ghanaians know the health implications of burying the dead in the house so keep to your uncivilized nature okay

78% of Ghanaians own lands, Ghanaian gov't own 20% and 2% used to be owned as a joint partnership between the state and customary authorities but it has mostly been handed back to customary authorities.

Meaning 80% of all land are in the hands of Ghanaians

Better still you can stand in Kibera or any of the 200 slums in Nairobi where people are illegally living on small public lands because they cant acquire land to own and build on, and you will see the slap they will give you.
