The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has named Lionel Messi as the best men's player of the last decade.

The organisation polled its members from other 150 countries around the world to find the best men's player over the last decade, including the best player for each continent.

While Cristiano Ronaldo picked up the award for the UEFA region, it was Messi who triumphed globally - as well as amongst the CONMEBOL nations.

The 33-year-old hasn't had a bad last ten years, picking up six La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey trophies, two Champions Leagues, and four Ballon d'Ors.

Even this season, with Barcelona struggling under new manager Ronald Koeman, the Argentine has picked up 16 goals and three assists in 21 La Liga games, and four goals and two assists in five Champions League fixtures.

even if messi is on a decline, we all know he had the best 10 years of football than any other player..
currently on i6 goals in the league on a bad season still shows that messi have an edge against the others, I pray he moves to a better club like city or PSG dt have machineries to work for him and we would still get to see leo scoring goals for fun and even winning the UCL...
because this current barca squad keeps failing him and currently barca are too broke to gv him an improve deal or get good players to compliment him..
personally, I pray he ends in city, so he can silence d doubters dt keeps saying he would flop in EPL bcox i trust pep to utilize leo very well...

Where nd wen was it written down in a single file document or documented in Fifa or football archives dat d yardstick for measuring a players suxes amounts to d numba of clubs he/she has played for? which football law was it stated dat a player must hv played for different clubs for him/her b regarded as d best?
