People are saying it's a bad business, why building a church? But they forget our pastors and general overseers are billionaires..

Sense no go kee Udom.. do you know how much the government would make from the church? Imagine if the capacity of the church is 10k members.. smh

AKWA IBOM IS THE FASTEST DEVELOPING STATE IN NIGERIA NOW. I KNOW THIS IS JUST A CHURCH BUT I HAVE SEEN SO MANY ECONOMIC EMPOWERING PROJECTS GOING ON IN THE STATE, SO DON’T CAST A STONE YET.
Probably, but you have to remove Lagos, Abuja and Rivers.

If you take away those three, there's no Nigeria anymore.

All the opportunities in Nigeria are concentrated around them.

Very senseless Governor .. Always embarking on irrelevant project.

What's the essence of an international worship center when a greater percentage of their able citizen are unemployed.. A state where majority of her indigene are keke/bus riders. Rubbish.

Moreover, there is no street without a church here sef.. If that resources was channelled into waste management sef, would had been better.

Governor that lacks foresight... Then he would come to AKBC with his big mouth and start churning lies.

Ogun kee you for that hilltop mansion.

Well to you it might not be priority but to the Udom, building a house for God people is welcome idea. Just check other good things this man is doing.

Monogamy:
That's the priority of Akwa Ibom state government..

Imagine an empowerment center in Akwa Ibom like this

I'm not a sadist, anti-government or anti-Christian but I think this is one of the misplaced priority we keep having in this country. No government should spend public funds building worship centres whether church or mosque etc.

And to think this is a billion naira project, how does this help the economy of the state? You would say it has provided contract (temporary) jobs for those working there but after the completion, what next? Think of if this money was to be rechannelled in building production industry or empowerment to the people of the state who poverty can clearly be seen staring in their faces. Misplaced priority!!!
anti- Government and anti-christians huh For asking the right questions

I'm Ibibios first son, Akpan Anang, a strong supporter of Udom, but I totally agree with your thoughts.

Religion has messed us up.

You'd see that, with this, even if he under performs, the people will hardly talk, because he has "built an altar for our God."

It's a pity.

Then watch the use of your words so you won't curse your lineage
You’re saying this because he made mention of church ?

Then you must be stupid boss...
How on earth someone will use government money to build religious Centre....

Is that how Donald Trump your mentor used his tenure ?

Re: Udom Inspects Work At International Worship Centre, Uyo (Photos) by Enyimbamercedes: 9:04am On Feb 24, 2021
This is a rubbish project!!!

How does this help anyone? First they build a birds nest stadium; all they do there is to break records for the largest choir

They build a Four Points surrounding by rusty roofs

Now they build an International Worship Center to do what? Thank God for their stupidity? This is the waste we see in Oil Producing States!! Doing nothing with the 13% derivation.

Re: Udom Inspects Work At International Worship Centre, Uyo (Photos) by Focusmind: 9:04am On Feb 24, 2021
This country and waste of resources - which one is worship center? Go and renovate your schools, feed the poor children coming to the school and set up a working primary health care in all your councils.

We should stop this nonsense of gigantic worship centers that adds nothing to our lives. This country's hypocrisy is second to none.

Rather than building factories that will employ and put multitudes to work, he is building church that will only employ a few and remain under utilized in most parts of the week, while a factory will Remain operational on daily basis, this is Nigeria where common thinking and sense does not prevail,a country where waste is the other of the day, make una continue with una underdeveloped ideas oo
The suffering continues

Billion Naira down the drain. Churches only recycle money already in the economy, just like the famed Internal Generated Revenue. We should be focusing on projects that bring money into the economy.
