Can you open a dollar account on zero balance?

I'm not quite sure, but for most banks you need a starting balance of 100USD which you can still withdraw later

For GTB, at the back of the form, them say current account from any bank.

I just opened GtB. Zero Balance...although I had a savings account with them. My 2 referees were from Zenith Bank.
But the customer care told me any other bank should be a Corporate Account. Dont know about other branches though.
