So if I'm travelling on Friday I can't do my test today?

I believe my earlier post is clear enough; validity is 72 hrs counting from day test was taken. Check your flight and see when you will arrive your destination.

Because it takes 24hours to recieve the result

It’s is not a FIXED rule that results must be obtained after 24 h.

The time it takes to test your sample and receive results can vary based on the type of test that was administered. Some PCR tests may take only a few hours to yield results if the samples are tested on-site and or it may take a few days if the samples are sent elsewhere for testing.

So this will depend on the hospital, clinics or place you are doing your test; just ensure it’s the RT-PCR test not antigen test. Some of my recent students that traveled for studies from Nigeria got the results same day; don’t know how much but I remembered one did at Lagos airport recently.

Best wishes

Good afternoon family, please is Lockdown affecting giving out admission I apply for a month now. What is the way out man.

Admission is processed online and usually at EMU and CSU takes 1-3 days for undergraduate admission while graduate admission may take 7-14 days due to various departmental evaluations.

You can always call the school you applied to for evaluation. Each university have international office telephone you can call or email via the contact address.

Good day Mr Wip7.
I made an application to CIU since early January and till now the application portal still shows waiting for re-evaluation, I even mailed the contact mails several times and they never replied me. Is there any solution/suggestion you could give to me?

Kindly call if they do not reply your emails. You may also directly contact the department to see if your application files have been sent over there. You will find the contact telephone numbers on the website.

As part of the NC visa application process, I need to provide a travel insurance and flight reservation.

What is the minimum number of month that I can book for the travel insurance. How can I book the travel insurance?

2. How can I book the flight reservation?

Thank you for your prompt help.

The cheapest and most preferred is for someone traveling to Cyprus to help you bring it.

The common courier services from Nigeria are EMS,UPS, DHL and FedEx; there are many others you can check them out at

https://www.finelib.com/business/transportation/courier-services

——The issues using these courier services is that; any new items especially like phone they will charge you import tax and they will even want you to come to the airport to clear the item.

——Another point is for any new phone that you purchased abroad and brings to Cyprus you will pay to register the phone IMEI and charges will depends on the type of phone. If you don’t pay within 90 days the phone will stop working and you have to also travel to Lefkosia if you are leaving in another city to get that done.

So by the time you add import tax with IMEI registration charges you will see it does not worth it. If someone can help you bring the phone then you only pay IMEI.

Note that since March 2020 there have been series of lockdown in Cyprus which are enforced and mandated hence nearly 70% businesses have been affected.

As at this time of writing there is still a partial lockdown which can be extended any moment.

All new students are advised to have financial resources to pay for 3 years tuition at least, have accommodation and living expenses for those years as well.

Best wishes

The North Cyprus thread started 12 years ago in 2009 where I have contributed to it since then. Here is the first link for part 1:

https://www.nairaland.com/351402/north-cyprus/355#91624810

Take note; most of the information was contributed based on the date/time and details then and with time information keeps evolving. Hence, some details might not be relevant but worth reading if you have the time and energy.

I believe, majority of the info given from 2019 onward still applies after then you can jump to part 2 here.
