My assessment :

Bruno overworked; he desperately needs pogba backing him.

Daniel James is very fast; but martial and rashford finishing has been very poor.

The defensive midfielders are doing okay and the defenders, the main problem are the attackers and creative midfielders.

Fred-McTominay combination in the midfield might work to stop oppositions from scoring goals, but then it doesn't give much passes to the forwards neither does it create chances in most of the matches. Sometimes that combination is counterproductive sef. The combo would have been better if Fred's passes and decision making is good.
