Lol.
I just dey laugh at what is happening in Ebonyi and SE in general.
Gentlemen, we are witnessing a change in the hierarchy of people in the Igbo nation.
Ebonyi is making the leap. As it stands now it will take a small change for her to be comfortably ahead of Imo and Abia. And in Igboland when your place beats another's, you will have more respect than them.
Ebonyi people are now getting a little swag over here.
Imo and Abia make una wise up oh. They are gradually starting to make fun of you guys in SE unlike Ebonyi of before. I won't like to say the new slogan for Imo here on Nairaland but una go dey collect now that Ebonyi seems to be ahead of una.
As for Abia. If you are from there and you manage to find yourself in SE, put your ego in a bottle because once you say you are from there hmm hmm.
Imo and Abia wise up oh.
I was at home in January and I am proud of what my city is developing into.

No non-capital city in the entire country outside Onitsha and Lagos is more developed than Aba.

Nwa nne ruo ulo.

A state building Airport should be done by known construction companies.

Why is Umahi always gallivanting there and looking like he is teaching them.

This is something you award and hands off, then come back at the agreed date to take over

This is mediocre at best.
This is the problem with Nigerians. Who told you only private construction company can build airport?

It's better to create construction department in the ministry of works and engage in direct labour instead of giving it to private construction company that pays peanut to its workers.

Below are pictures of the ongoing construction of a world-class Ebonyi State international Airport. This Aiport has the relevant authorities' approval for both cargo and passengers.

The Governor has given his word that it will be completed this year, 2021 and deployed for immediate use.

The Airport when completed will be among the largest and most spectacular in the country with a very unique terminal.

With the speed of light in which the project is moving, it is obvious that the timing may not elapse before its completion.

The completion of this project will connect the state to the globe.

Governor David Umahi is transforming, connecting and exposing the state to the world.

Special Assistant to the Governor

All these governors building airports that are not viable, hope they realize that it is public money that they are throwing down the drain. Delta State with its vast oil wealth and vibrant economy could not maintain their two airports in Warri and Asaba and had to concession both of them at give away prices. Our leaders build projects that are not necessary because of sentiments.
see the way u reason funny and stupid

The same Islamists learned money to Federal Govt which Abaribe has been collecting his salary from since 1999. Don't you people think you are agent of double standard and confusion?

Wake up Dundee United. Abaribe has not stopped collecting money from the Islamists state. He has been using your sense for you since 1999 to corner your votes. Election is around the corner again, he will use same Biafra sentiment to corner you to get your votes again
Are you aware that the bulk of Nigerian revenues comes from oil, and abia state is a Crude oil state?

I don't see the need for building an airport, the state is blessed with solid minerals. Why can't the governor employ foreign experts to help him with ideas to move the state forward. Why can't they help in reducing poverty? Do they expect a hungry man to pay for plane tickets which is most time higher than most people monthly salary? To me I see all these kind of elephant projects that most governments officials are undertaking as a means to get kickbacks.
