If you're in the Medical science it's frustrating. If it is in terms of cramming Pharmacist cram more than Any medical and allied health profession followed by veterinary then Dentistry before medicine. You want to argue check their course outline.
Why? You most know the generic name, chemical name and brand name etcetera. A Medical Doctor doesn't know the chemical name of Acetaminophen,Lumefatrine, Ibuprofen etcetera but a Pharmacist does. Remember a Pharmacist produce drugs also. They must know/ cram volume of raw materials needed. Know the right way to produce. Know the quantity needed so as to prevent overdose or under dose. They have to know medicinal botany as source of drugs. Pharmacy is the hardest in terms of cramming not medicine.
Veterinarians treat anomaly in animals majorly, caprine,ovines,felines,equines, poultry, canines, porcine,fishes etc. Some will say they're similar but they don't just spend 6 years for nothing. They have to learn restraint method. You wouldn't like a cow head butting you, a dog biting and scratching, a fowl knocking your fingers, piglets screaming, horses kicking you. They have to a alot of animal science they do it from 200-400 level. They also have know drug interactions. You wouldn't like giving your dog chloroquine or your pregnant goat tetracycline. They also have to know anatomy and physiology of these animals.
They must know how good the meat of an animal is. You wouldn't want to eat a Meat infested with Bovine tuberculosis or eat chicken infested with coccidioidomycosis. What of milk? Fish nko abi feed for animals. Don't be deceived by those quacks you see collecting 500 to treat Parvo virus. Then weeks later your pet will be in continuous emesis , having renal failure, collapsed lungs them you start complaining.
What of Dentist? Have to learn about the human body while still reading about the orthognathic/neck region? Have to cram right volume of anaesthetic to give you when performing a procedure so you don't scream " Ahh Omo ale ni e" Have to rotate with Medical Doctors and later still rotate in Dentistry.
Medicine is hard because of human death which is painful but you wouldn't want to meet people who love their pets. You also wouldn't to have Parotitis or your child leaving with cleft leap , cancer of the mouth, Tonsillitis.
Medicine crams but not as these three I listed. You can quote for all I care.

This is not joke please, I know a friend who has been writing resit exams for 5years, his parents are struggling, in a country where to get a job is difficult, he is so depressed, this weaked lecturers don't care, the wickedness in our educational institutions is too much, and If a student try to commit suicide or even kill a lecturer they will blame him.

It's not about forcing yourself into a field.
A lot of these students who develop challenges along the line were previously high flying students academically.

Do you think that if they could see the future, they would go ahead and do a course that is capable of ruining them mentally?

500level is just 1year to becoming a doctor.
He had practically seen it all.
Medical school is f.. King crazy in a 3rd world country... The lecturers do not care abt the one student who is facing challenges.

I see many symptoms of bipolar affective disorder in this fellow, but still he couldnt be helped by anyone. I pity our medical schools, especially the public schools, so structured for the Customer Service smart and rich. I wish they can put mechanisms in place to help previously smart students that are falling apart. I remember once when a colleague then a lecturer told me my brain was full of pus, that I was good for nothing, about that same time my girlfriend of 2 years left me for a working class guy. I almost lost my sanity but God kept me. Not many people can go through our medical schools and remain sane.
