They went there for a paying job because of the situation is the country but they would not knowingly risk their life for Nigeria or Nigerians. I'm sorry but that is the fact we all need to face. I was watching the news in London more than twenty years ago and there was a feature on the Sierra Leone civil war and one of the Sierra Leonean politicians described Nigerian soldiers as lions.Why do you think Nigerians are scrambling to get away from Nigeria,to get away from other Nigerians.If you die or you are wounded in Nigeria,your entitlement is stolen.So what do you really expect. I'm not in the armed forces but I'm an impartial observer.Cheated people don't fight well and soldiers don't fight well for corrupt governments.

You need to stop talking about Nigeria Army of years back, that was when they had dignity, our discussion is about current crop of soldiers and their failure.

If for whatever reasons you cannot function reasonably within the scope of what is expected of a soldier, the door is wide open to leave. You cant chicken out when you are to
display strength and roar like a lion when you are before helpless chickens and turn around to blame the system.

The people corrupting the system are still soldiers wether high rank or low.
