It's sad that the western world gives medical aids to Africa yet "takes" their medical personnel. Who's to blame? The Europeans and Americans that employ skilled people (who willingly applied) to serve their countries or the doctors that leave their home countries after getting trained by their local institutions in search of greener pastures?

This is not a new news, it has been in law.

The NHS does not actively recruit from Nigeria

As long as a Nigerian doctors passes all required exams, he or she can apply for a job in the Uk.

This does not break the rules.

This is a case study.

A nurse or doctor from Nigeria applies to work in the NHS unassisted. He is interviewed by the trust and deemed successful for the post, subsequently travelling to the UK on receipt of his visa. This activity did not include any active recruitment therefore does not contravene the code of practice

All Nigerian doctors fall in this category of the case study.

There is 1 doctor to every 1000 Nigerians.
That is how bad the stats are.
And that is just among the General practioners.

And then when you take it to more specialised health care, the stats become even grimmer.

Better, all doctors to his/her own country.

When I become the president, I'll ban all doctors, nurses, engineers, programmers and scientists from relocating from the country. They are free to go on vacations.
