Money is not the major reason most of our Doctors and Nurses relocated to UK, some gone because of lack of medical facilities to practice.

Weak currency is irrelevant. If Nigeria was very developed with good infrastructure, no one would think about leaving.. Look at middle eastern countries, they have oil dependent economies which don't always have the best job availability or currencies. But their people aren't leaving those countries except to go on holiday.

You can keep medics here , if you allow hospitals to be run at a profit...or if we raise our tax to gdp ratio , and remove subsides so that more money flows into the country.... But since we are so poor...

Not until you spend your life savings training your son to become a doctor until he graduates after 6-8years of intensive medical training, only to find out that there are no quality jobs for him to even take care of you at old age.

those countries have population of 3 million and their GDP is about $400billion annually..

the UAE has an annual GDP of $354billion and 1.4million indigenes.

$354billion divided by 1.4 million is equal to $252,857 per year for one indigene only. that's ₦96,401,731 per year for one person..

if you were earning ₦96,401,731 per year in Nigeria will you ever leave Nigeria

I have been fortunate enough to travel, once economies reach a certain level of development. About $10,000 - $15,000 USD per capita people are content and happy.

Malaysia is a great example, it isn't fabulously wealthy, but most Malays are content.

It doesn't take much, Just good infrastructure like consistent electricity, clean water and gas supplies will do most of the work. Good Roads, Ok Railways and Good airports would finish the job.

People will do the rest..

That's why I don't understand our leaders, this is all they have to do..

The extras like good schools and universities are hard to do, but I am sure the Nigerian population would manage this.
