The Kwara State Government has ordered reopening of 10 mission schools shut in February for refusing Muslim students to wear hijab.https:

But late Tuesday night, the state government announced the reopening of the schools from Wednesday March 17, 2021.

If not for religious extremism, why do we have to disrupt academic activities because of a minor issue like this?

Yoruba should not allow religion fanatics from East and North to turn them against each other! Remember we are Yoruba first and we are brothers.

HIJAB has existed before Islam came..
Its a culture, God didn't make any cloth, cloth is man made.
Africa is just colonized religiously and they will remain backward.
When is don't expose your body should be another country culture.
Is heaven even sure, as we just need to believe.

Let us live in peace ,We shouldn't be fighting on clothing

AbdulRahaman has borrowed sense. Most of these schools has been operating before he was born. Kwara has been Harmonious, but politicians want to break the cord of peace.

Point of correction. Muslims want to break the point of relative peace.

My mum taught in one of the aforementioned schools. The young students are being instigated to cause trouble. My question is can Christian students make their own rules in Ansaru?

They should not start religious crisis in Kwara if you want your child to wear hijab take her to Ansarudeen Islamic College.

Why would you enroll your child at C & S School and expect them to allow her wear hijab.

That been said, we should learn to be tolerant in this Country, Wearing hijab wouldn't change anything in the school but I understand the fear of the school authority, if they allow hijab now, in the next ten years Muslim will claim to be the owner of the school and they will build mosque and even make attempt to rename the school.

But to be honest why do Muslims like problem so much, their attitude is an antonym of there "religion of peace" slogan.
Why do they like provoking Christians, all the religion crisis in this Country have been ignited by Muslims.
Is Islam still a religion of peace?

It is just an honest question.

In fact Islam should just go and rest these drama is too much.

Some people are fighting for no education up north they are Islam, these ones that want to manage to go school want to force their backward rules on others. It’s pathetic. Muslims please check yourselves you’re loosing connection with the reality.

Changing the schools' heritage and principle while the names remain the same is sacrilegious and an insult to Christians.
If sharia states cannot respect the right of non-Muslim to sales and drinks of Alcohol yet share in revenue tax of same product, why should Muslims insist on hijab in a Christian mission school?
What is good for the Geese is also good for the Gander.

Northern islamist fundamentalist will be quick to defend destruction of alcoholic drinks citing Sharia as the bonafide law of sharia states. But when it comes to Christian states and Institution, the same islamists deliberately forget the quote; When in Rome, act like a Roman. They cry to high heavens when Christian owned Schools impose no hijab law on students. They want their own islamic laws impose on CHRISTIAN OWNED SCHOOLS. But they'll never allow Christians impose Christian laws in Islamiya Schools.
Their hypocrisy stinks.

The most annoying part is the way they throw rights left and center when they are at the receiving end but will start ranting act of provocation if anyone tried to trespass on their Religion. Very hypocritical bunch if you ask me!

That's not all about what is actually happening. What is actually happening is political. Towards the ending of last year and early this year, it was obvious to the governor that majority of people are no longer interested in him nor want him again.

They made it obvious to him and he got the message loud and clear that party Stewart and the people are waiting for PDP to come back. This caused a fight that was reported in major news outlets.

Then he thought about ( or was negatively advised) what he could do that people will start talking about him positively which will make majority of kwarans deviate from criticizing him.. then he reverted to the old tactics... use religious sentiment to gain people's acceptance.

What he doesn't know is people are well aware of what he is doing and the religious communities most especially Muslims are not in support of what he is happening

it's not the Muslims but the governor trying to make kwarans talk about something else... he is trying to bring in religious sentiments to manipulate the people's support for his administration but he was ill-advised
