Do you know that no buyer will agree to pay $1.5bn for that refinery that APC wants to renovate with $1.5bn ? Assuming you have a car you purchased at N5m and it gets accidented, and given that the only existing option to fix your car is to spend N5m at Honda place, will you fix the car ? |

DaddyRochie1642:So all the economic issues he analysed above "vote" is all what is important to you. A More profitable refinery was sold for $1.2B in a sane society while those you prefer to"vote" for wants to rehabilitate a scrap refinery for $1.5B. |

DaddyRochie1642:will you shut up that your dirty bucal cavity and reason with your head not with our anus. Have you run a fact check if shell actually sold refinary of similar capacity at $1.2b and we are releasing $1.5b for maintainance? Does it make any economic sense? |

DuBLINGreenb:Are you surprised, same govt spending billions on school feeding program even during a total lockdown...think of it, we have almost everything in abundance but it so unfortunate we have bad leadership in abundance as well |
| Re: Atiku: $1.5 Billion To Renovate The Port Harcourt Refinery Is Suspicious by tunapawizzy: 5:13pm On Mar 18, 2021 |
Johnwick64:2bn dollar will build a refinery that can refine 100k barrel/day, these people are planning to spend 75% of that money to rehabilitate a refinery that even if well rehabilitated(which isnt possible), cannot function at optimum capacity before it breaks down again. |

AlhajiBitcoin:NNPC is a very useless organization.......50% of that money goes to the funding of activities of the ruling political party, 25% goes to NNPC staff for tour alowance that will be doing unecessary supervision and oversight..they will even say they are going abroad to discuss with contractors and corner estacodes....the contractor go manage the remaining 25%..where e suppose put 7 bolts, e go manage put 4....6 months time the refinery go break down again |

RuudVanNisteroy:Don't be ignorant. He did worse how? Let's assume he sold NITEL to his cronies. So WHAT? Is the telecommunications sector not better off without NITEL? Didn't you see the results and didn't Nigerians reap the benefit immediately? We're talking about sinking $1.5b of public funds into a clearly corrupt public liability. No kind of 'corrupt' privatisation deal can be worse than that. |

Malawian:The government shouldn’t be in the business of building refineries “from scratch” or not, nor even in the refining business. Sell the goddamn refineries as is and let the private sector sort it out, while government uses the money for schools, healthcare, security, infrastructure, etc. > |
