A gory incident occurred at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in front of the university sports center. A group of students returning from a party or club had their sedan car overturned. This incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, August 10th, 2024, following a loud, sharp sound that prompted people to rush out and see what had transpired. A lady was seen bleeding profusely, while another man was seen with bloodstains all over his pure white shirt. At last, an ambulance belonging to the institution was used to convey the wounded ones from the scene. Premierlead, a reporter was able to interview the security personnel posted at the sports center and another one from the Environmental Science Faculty adjacent to the center, who seemed to have witnessed the event. It has become common for some University of Lagos students to drive recklessly. Speeding from the main gate to the inner parts of the campus is a regular occurrence, and often, they remove the exhaust from their sports vehicles to create nuisance and unnecessary loud noise. These students often seem to have lost sight of their main purpose on campus, as their priorities appear misplaced. To prevent future occurrences of this nature, security personnel need to tighten their efforts by stopping any vehicle suspected of reckless driving at the main gate and asking drivers with tinted windows to either remove the tint or roll down the windows. Additionally, a traffic sign indicating the speed limit should be placed near the gate. Vehicles causing noise pollution due to exhaust removal should be stopped at the entrance before entering the campus, as they disrupt the focus of the serious students on campus. premierlead:

Yesterday, I passed by the SUBEB head office, adjacent to the governor's house in Ibadan, and noticed a very large crowd. Initially, I thought they might have called those who passed the SUBEB CBT test, i.e., those who scored 50% and above, for documentation. I was heading to Bodija and planned to inquire about the situation on my way back. An hour later, I returned and joined the crowd. After speaking with a few people, I deduced that most of them had not scored up to 50%. In fact, I met a woman who scored 36 and was there seeking assistance from acquaintances in various capacities within the SUBEB office. I managed to enter some offices to interrogate the officers. I asked what these people were doing there and if documentation had started. The officers told me that the crowd was uncalled for and that it was not yet time for documentation. However, I observed that result slips were being collected from candidates, most of whom had low scores. I am concerned that Oyo State might have compromised its stance on merit in the recruitment, selection, and placement processes. I plan to meet with Dr. Nureni, the SUBEB chairman, as well as officials from the Ministry of Education and, finally, the governor's office to investigate further. |

He was twice elected as the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly. He was elected on the platform of the YPP. Some months ago, he crossed over to the ruling APC. In September 2022, Ifeanyi Ubah survived an assassination attempt, while on his way to Nnewi. At least five people, including 2 policemen, were killed when the assassins attacked his convoy. VILLA INFOSTRATIC 02 |

Pacesetter123:I am bro and I believe there's more than meets the eye with these people. Everyone, including Dangote and those he alleged, should be given a level playing field. Where has he been all this time while these issues were happening? Why is he only now deciding to reveal everything? Now that he is coming into the industry. That guy Dangote fear competition in his life and nothing else. |
Amidst complaints from various levels of government about insufficient funds and an unwillingness to raise salaries in this hard time, Oyo State, created on February 3, 1976, has stood out under Governor Oluseyi Makinde. The state has decided to employ an additional 7,500 primary school teachers through the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board under the chairmanship of Dr Nureni Initially, 52,000 applicants registered for the employment opportunity, necessitating a reduction in numbers to achieve the desired outcome through test. The test venue is the Distance Learning Institute of the University of Ibadan in Ajibode area, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. Premierlead reported on the progress of the tests and interviewed candidates amidst the large crowd, revealing that many traveled from places such as Ilorin, Lokoja, Saki, Eruwa, Okeho, Kishi, and Igboho to participate. Shuaibu Hamzat, an applicant from Kaduna, registered the second day the job portal was opened and scheduled to write his test on July 23, 2024, at 10 am. However, he was seen struggling to enter the venue amidst the large crowd at around some minute to 12 in the noon. Shuaibu's case is one among thousands, who had to travel down to Ibadan for the test. There are buses from various states such as Zamfara, Kaduna parked in front of the venue gate waiting for applicants to be done. One woman, identified as Hajia, mentioned that she completed her NCE program 10 years ago at the College of Education, Akwanga, and her first degree at Nasarawa State University, Keffi. She traveled from Abuja and had been in Ibadan since Sunday evening just for the test. A common complaint among the applicants was the University of Ibadan's inability, as the consultant to Oyo State for the screening exercise, to adhere strictly to the initially scheduled times as communicated via email to all applicants.

ceejayluv:He knew what was at stake before deciding to join the wagon of oil in the country. He knew Nigeria under Buhari had borrowed money from the imperialist using Nigerian crude in the South South and Southeast while he refused to use Zamfara gold. He thought it would be business as usual, where they would pin others down and allow only him to continue his operations. He wanted to acquire NNPC during Obasanjo's tenure, but Yaradua reversed it, seeing it as unworthy to give the nation's commonwealth to just one individual. When Buhari came to power, he bankrolled Dangote's 70% debt using the country's wealth. Now, here he is, washing down people in the NNPC. It is not business as usual for him. |
If you think you have seen it all in Nigeria, just wait a bit longer; this country always has new surprises. Whether it's political drama, economic challenges, or social upheavals, there's always something unexpected around the corner. Can their supporters here see what this one too is uttering? Kwantinue in Madam Jonathan Goodluck's voice... |
Using every possible means to bring down others' businesses for your own to thrive should be a no for Mr. Dangote at this present time. He saw all these issues before but said nothing. Why is he now blowing the whistle at this point in time? Once again, he should allow others to run their businesses the way they want while he runs his as he wishes. His idea seems to be to start dictating the price of fuel the way he desires after gaining people's sympathy. |

premierlead:Are these alleged people behind the Tinubu poster destruction in Yobe State as well? Bayo Onanuga should reflect on the past when Tinubu led a large protest against a sitting president without any resulting arrests. You cannot remove the only benefit the masses have enjoyed from the government including military government for generations and expect them not to react. You remove subsidies from all fuels, like PMS, DPK, AGO, aviation fuel, and domestic gas without anything in return. You did not stop there but went ahead to affect education. Now, all our universities charge almost the same amount as private universities, and there is no difference between state and federal universities anymore. Within one year, this government has hiked the cost of everything due to its useless policies. |

Why can't you include your contact such as phone number, address, the test that shows there is hole in his chest...you are Kelly Monday and your son is Ayomide by name, how come?
