mayorall: JAMB announces cut-
off mark
The cut off mark
for the 2012
Unified Tertiary
Matriculation
Examination has
been placed at 180, by the Joint
Admissions and Matriculation
Board on Monday.
For national polytechnics,
colleges of education and other
diploma-awarding institutions
JAMB put the cut off at 160.
The announcement kick-starts
the admission process into
higher institutions.
Minister of Education, Prof.
Ruqayyatu Rufa'i, who chaired
the meeting where the cut off
marks were determined,
appealed to the various
institutions to adhere strictly to
admission guidelines.
The minister added that the
insitution must each observe
"the admission criteria based on
merit, catchment area and
educationally less-developed
states in accordance with the
Federal Government's
guidelines."

Good one here but there will surely be sentiments on those that score below 200 in most Universities except if they can prepare to showcase on the merit list of you know people in charge ................................

"Osun State University (UNIOSUN) was established by the Law of the Osun State House of Assembly in December 2006. The University commenced academic activities on 21 September 2007, simultaneously on permanent sites on its six campuses located in the six geopolitical zones of Osun State. The campuses are located in Osogbo (Main Campus), Ejigbo, Ifetedo, Ikire, Ipetu-Ijesa and Okuku.

As for me the money is not the issue but the admission because this is my 3rd time of writing jamb since 2010 making above 200 in all and am physically challeged. I will like to use this forum to assist all prospective students of Osun State University. Firstly, I will like to congratulate those who had excellent results in their JAMB-UTME exams. The cut off mark for this year's admission i.e (2012/2013) have been declared to be 200 upward and 240 for MBBS. I will try to make it known as soon as it is declared if the post ume will hold or not. Effort will be made to pass updated info around as soon as its confirmed.
