TCD: The app selection available for playbook and android are not the same. Android has much more free apps. Skype does not exist for the playbook.

If you want to get free apps you'll have to get them from third party sources and side load. Links are allover this thread. I have never been to app world baring the first time I bought my Playbook.

To ping on your pb you need to bridge with a blackberry phone. It can't ping on its own.
