This is always a controversial word in marriage. Your definition is spot on.But in marriage ,can taking what is yours be defined as rape.in a Christian marriage you are not meant to deny your partner sex except by mutual consent. When ever there is denial it shows that the marriage has a problem.There is no understanding, love,tolerance and effective communication.

Don't bring the word 'denial' into this discussion. Whether you're a Christian or not, sex in marriage should be by mutual consent. That you paid a bride price for a woman does not mean you have bought her and she belongs to you. No. It means you have accepted to live with and endure with her till death.
