There should be public enlightenment on conservation of wild life, starting with inclusion in primary and secondary school curriculum, and university courses on conservation.

This is a very sad development, and will impact tourism negatively. The death must be investigated by the authorities, the police, and the government of the state where she died should lead the investigation by a commission of enquiry. The process must be transparent and the outcome delivered to the public and the late woman's family. She should have be taken to a hospital with capacity to make the right clinical diagnosis, and life support competencies. But there are barriers to healthcare if she was not on Travel insurance. Nigeria faces significant challenges in health outcomes, ranking among the lowest globally in key indicators, including those within the Human Capital Index. Life expectancy, at just 54 years, is the lowest worldwide. Under-five mortality remains alarmingly high at 114 per 1,000 live births, making it the second-highest globally, while maternal mortality is the third-highest, exceeding 1,000 per 100,000 live births. These statistics translate into over 800,000 child deaths annually and approximately 80,000 maternal deaths. Nigeria accounts for 1 in 6 global child deaths and 1 in 4 maternal deaths, emphasizing the critical need for targeted interventions. Additionally, 40% of children under five suffer from stunting, placing Nigeria among the top 10 countries with the highest prevalence . It is important to let tourists know that they need to take Anti-malarial preventative medicines before setting foot in Nigeria. The healthcare situation is very bad, but hopefully, there will be progress with the new healthcare reforms. Every tourist in Nigeria should have travel insurance |

Thank God for wisdom. A friend told me to restart my broiler production but I told him the economics does not make sense, where is the Market? Who will buy? This was October last year. I told him we stopped producing when the price of one kilo of maize jumped over ₦450. Because how does one make their food if maize alone become so high. Even if you can make their food, after feeding them for 6weeks, who will buy at ₦20k, not to talk of the price of ₦35k now. The economics does not make sense. The only way forward is CNG for trucks, to bring down the cost of transportation of the maize, so that we can make feeds cheaper, and the chicken too becomes cheaper in the market 1 Like 1 Share

Nobody should trust a monopolist. NNPC and Dangote were engaged in price gouging. But then, the value of the Naira has been decimated by the APC government. Dangote is actually doing us a favour by selling at ₦899 per litre. Between the refinery and the marketers, the spread is ₦40 per litre. He can push volume into the market, everybody but the consumers will be happy unfortunately with the so called price reduction. Subsidy is finally gone.

Lithiumite:Pointless. It does not have to take this long . Food inflation is still going up to the right, Nominal inflation rate is still untamed, after a year of applying the policy. Look at Argentina after a year of reform , and come and tell us why we should believe that things will improve soon. The mistake is saying to the press, subsidy is gone, yet we are still subsidising, saying the Naira is floating yet we are still defending the Naira. The size of the government , no check in government spending, we are spending like there is no tomorrow. It is one thing to say something, and another thing to be sabotaging oneself. No doubt some things are working, but it requires greater momentum to cause widespread positive effects 6 Likes

It is tough to live with a woman if you don't have mental toughness, because in the name of love you can make serious mistakes, take wrong turns, and make wrong decision, and then you are blamed for failing with your life and hers. South Africans love very hard. With everything. He loved her to death, and then killed himself. If I will not have you, then no on else will. May their souls rest in peace. Illegal immigration was a major campaign issue at the last election in South Africa. That is a responsible government doing something about the problems of Illegal immigration in the country. AngelGabbyShara:About time too. The Oyebanji administration is reaching for the stars, and he has set every machinery on motion to achieve this goal. This approval means that the very wealthy 1% don't need to come through Akure and travel on the rugged roads between Ondo and Ekiti states anymore. Note that as a state capital, Ado-Ekiti is better managed than Akure, which has become a big heap of refuse, since Mimiko left power.  There need to be a complete separation of options and choices for travelers to Ekiti by air. Governor Oyebanji does not want the richest people to be coming through Akure, which makes a lot of sense for them to land in Ado-Ekiti. This singular move will definitely improve the good fortune of Ekiti State. Watch how there will be less passengers going to Akure when the route is fully commercialised, and ordinary passengers who are not flying private can book a flight to Ado-Ekiti from either Abuja or Lagos. Just imagine the number of Afe Babalola University students traveling from Lagos or Abuja to Ado Ekiti by Air. No more stress of going through Akure or coming by road.

South Africa is doing better than us oh. Nobody need to say anything is working, especially when they are in charge. It is the people who should say so, otherwise it is just propaganda. A doctor does not tell a patient that the patient is feeling well, after giving treatment. It is the patient that will say he or she is feeling better. eldoradoxx:I believe to answer the question you have posted, put yourself in Afe Babalola's shoes. Having done that, you can then see why Dele should be detained,and processed through the very justice system he so easily accused of malfeasance, without tangible evidence. I hold Dele Farotimi in high regard. I see Dele as a honest person, and a right thinking human rights activist. A human rights activist must respect the rights of other people, because a whole lot of people hold him in high esteem and probably believe what he is saying in the media, while forging his brand of activism. The brand of activism becomes suspect, if a lawyer, who is an activist, become remanded in prison for breaking the law for defamation. That means his activism is not genuine. His activism is not sincere, because he did not research the law properly for him to realise that he did not have legal ground to stand on, in this matter with Afe Babalola. He may not have malice-afore-thought. But he has mens Rea in the broad sense of the word. This is the reason why there will be a criminal conviction. Dele has mens Rea. The book title demonstrates that. Some people will say, Afe Babalola should pardon and let it go. That is not going to happen. Dele should know better than defame his professional group, of which he is an active member. He will be taught a difficult lesson. They will waste his most precious asset, his time, and then he will spend a lot of his own money until he starts to be his own legal counsel. Nigerians will learn about defamation from this case. NB: Every professional body or association around the world is like a cult group. They have priority with main objective to look after members interests, especially loyal members. 2 Likes

Now they don't have safe communities because of the decades of stealing. Nothing left but robbery of lives and humans. The people don't have money, so they now steal the people and put them into slavery to make money, as slave farmers, sex slaves, what have you. Oh, this is so hard and heart breaking.
