Since it's an office WiFi, it's most likely a LAN. The only other way I know you can gain access to the network is by connecting to the hotspot shared to you by one of the PC (mostly Windows 10+) that's directly connected to the LAN. Anytime your friend is at work, he should run this settings but you would have to be in close proximity to the office. Your friend is most likely connected to another staff's PC in that office that's why he can browse and you can't.

Usually there's a person that mans it. It's either the password was changed without your notice or you need to check your phone settings.

Either way you may need to meet the one in charge.

I dnt think the password was changed coz my friend is using it as I'm typing this.
