SEGLIZ: this can never and would never be. the current crops of players can't match up the older generations.
after the 94 set, Atlanta 96 Nigeria was done for in football, I keep saying it, watching those generations play while they are losing you still would enjoy watching them.
there are players the current (genzee) don't know about eg Segun Odegbami, Christian Chukwu, Patrick Okala, Samuel Okparaji etc.

we all queue here, back in the day.
leaving Yekini to the wings baffles me just to create space for Osimehn. yes it should be a 442,with Yekini and osimhen leading the line..............or Yekini to the bench |

Amerengues2: Regardless, I am still not impressed but thats a bit better from him. Before many peoples eyes opened, he has been doing it to his Nigerian teammates particularly Ademola- I presume he felt threatened that he might win CAF award ahead of him.....
He complains in ALL his match (If you doubt, go and watch all the matches both in qualifiers and this competition). He cant play in any big team in Europe...especially top teams. Who is he going to shout on?! He knows he cant try that rubbish.
We won today because everyone played very well and Algeria played abysmally bad. This team is a great one with good spirit!
Ademola still remains the best player of this tournament! still crying 😂 |

DeltaBachelor: That one concern you. Daft human being. In football, you leave the talking as a sportsman to people whose job it is to talk - Media representatives, journalists, etc. A footballer’s “talk” should be on the field of play. Na him too much talk pursue am from Napoli. Na him too much talk almost creat rift in the dressing room if not for the maturity of Lookman. He isn’t the captain yet. Ndidi wey be overall nor even talk reach this guy. He isn’t exhibiting leadership qualities and frankly speaking, if not for his talent and goal scoring abilities, I’m very sure he would have being removed as vice-captain.
Check the phool like you saying Victor is better than Kanu, Okocha etc. chai. All these “Mummy thank you” children that have just joined Nairaland and using free basics to comment. Abeg shift go play with sand. Nonsense !
I wish him well. However, let him learn to control his temper and cho cho cho attitude. Shalom ! nostalgia merchant |

sirchim: Even RASHIDI YEKINI, our greatest attacker, no make this him yeye noise. Whether them abuse am or not, make him behave himself, if he don't want to play for us let him go, he is not bigger and will never be bigger than Super Eagles. Before him wear the 9 jersey, many good STRIKERS don wear am drop am. just three more goals to overtake him greatest indeed |

How does an English dictionary even work anything that can be used in a English statement eg I like that girl's nyash,it will simply be put under the slang bracket |

ManOfSon: This is pathetic coming from you. Your obsession over money and wealth blinker your eyes such that you're never ever going to see the big picture. It's a poverty mindset. Osimhen may have wealth today, but he isn't freeing himself from that poverty mindset any time soon. He looks like the type who somewhere down the road after his career is over will be begging the public for financial help. We have seen that movie before. your wish will not be granted |
Sports › Re: Osimhen: The Arrogance Of A Ghetto Hero By Tunde Odesola by Ragingthunder(f): 9:02am On Jan 10 |
DarkJeddi: Osimhen is doing all his own destruction by himself,he doesn't need anybody to do that.
He should go and ask Balloteli how far it ended for him.
A world class striker at his prime and the best he could do is the Turkish League and him never want ask himself questions. comparing Balotelli and osimhen is so dumb |

oyeb15: They should collect their balance before Algeria send them packing.
It's better they book their flight ticket to avoid delay.
Once Nigeria can't score they become frustrated. Close down d midfield & stop any service to Osimehin up front . Put a tall defender to check him and set d offside trap.
At 70 minute, launch a serious counter attack. Their body go don weak. That's when they will be conceding unnecessary fouls around d box. Train set peices.
Send Nigeria back home. naso e easy reach na mtewwww |

I like Lookman, but make una dey use head sometimes, person go make another person vex, come dey do calm calm after the whole thing come make the other person look like villain.
Osimhen should retire after this tournament, whether we win or not, whether he breaks Yekini's record or not. The both are useless to me at this point abeg.

WarHammer2000: Nigerians no like objectiveness lailai. Oliseh provided the BEST commentary I've ever heard from any of our ex players. Complete with good and articulate English grammar and technical terms and insight.
What exactly did he say that was a lie? Was our passing not slow in the beginning? Were the Tanzanians not sitting back and hitting us on the counter? Were they not dangerous from set pieces?
The problem here is that unlike Amokachi and co, Oliseh decided to do his job as an unbiased professional analyst rather than a Super Eagles fan behind the microphone.
A true analyst should go about his business like a Magistrate in court — even if his own brother breaks the law, the Magistrate should not hesitate to send him to jail.
Unfortunately, our people don't want that, we just want a hallelujah praise singer.
The bad news for everyone is, if his antecedents are anything to go by, Oliseh won't change because of the mob's noises. Get prepared to watch the rest of Nigeria's games on mute because it will be professional analysis all the way. holy glaze 🤣 |
