Seems the Airline Owners/Operators Association is run by hotheads. I am at a loss as to how they hurriedly arrived at such conclusion within such a space of time. When did they take the time to investigative what happened or are they by this implying the aircrew do no wrong and whatever report or testimony from them was exactly what happened?

That hasty decision is so unfair.
They would have allowed regulatory agencies to carry out thorough, unbiased investigation, and their report submitted and any decision taken against her will be seen to be industrial standard practice and fair. Anything outside of that is an overreach and muscle flexing by somebody and will negatively affect the industry.

From the grapevine, it is said that Miss/Ms Comfort wasn't unruly to the crew especially the lady air hostess at the first. It was simply a matter of "off your phone" which in itself is not wrong especially for old model aircrafts that does not have modern interference blocking facilities.
But that Miss Comfort complied by putting her phone in airplane mode. That when the air hostess insisted, Miss Comfort politely told the hostess that she has, her phone was already in airplane mode and she can check to confirm. That what she was doing with her phone was checking her video's to edit some of them. This was a voice note somebody who was passenger in same aircraft and witnessed all that happened before things went south, sent to someone in the media.
He said that when they eventually landed, the air hostess blocked Miss Comfort from disembarking. That people tried to plead with the air hostess to allow the issue slide since they had landed safely, she bluntly refused saying they have already alerted the security people. It was in the process the over zealous crew grabbed the lady's phone and smashed it on the floor of the aircraft which was what angered Miss Comfort. Going by this eye witness account, if it is true, the airline crew have a lot to answer as to how a phone in airplane mode will interfere with aircraft landing or takeoff & will endanger the life of passengers and crew.

From the part of the video posted, there are so many gaps. Some scenes were, in my view, I may be wrong, deliberately cut off and that suggests it was d crew members that did recording of the incident and chose what to share as to attract public sympathy & present miss Comfort in bad light. The commissioner of police Lagos State & stakeholders should step into the matter so that we all know what actually happened that led to the ugly video recording of indecent exposure. And we must know who hurriedly handled her matters that led to her detention at Kirikiri at such short instance.

Ibom Air, is not doing itself any good if a thorough & unbiased investigation is not carried out and the airline seen to be just in it's handling of the matter. It is so inappropriate for whatever reason(s) for a staff of the airline to deliberately tear a passengers cloth and have it on video recording. It is so unprofessional, callous, insensitive to say the least. Courteous women police officers would have been called in to come into the matter, speak comfortably with Miss Comfort, reassure her that the matter will be looked into and whoever offended her will be disciplined appropriately. That would have saved Ibom Air this publicity for the wrong reasons.

Until every correct detail is made public and appropriate sanctions mated to whoever is responsible for the traumatic incident, many may not fly Ibom Air for the time being.
