“The issue is whether any member state, by force, coercion or economic strangulation, has the right to determine Venezuela’s political future or to exercise control over its affairs,” he said, adding that such actions contravene the UN charter.

“The council must decide whether that prohibition is to be upheld or abandoned,” Sachs said. “Abandoning it would carry consequences of the gravest kind.”

“Peace and the survival of humanity depend on whether the United Nations Charter remains a living instrument of international law or is allowed to wither into irrelevance,” he said.

Invading a sovereign nation and kidnapping of their President is a dangerous precedent and it should be condemned globally.
This was what Russia attempted to do in Ukraine which later turned into an endless and senseless war that had claimed thousands of lives.

Believing that you can invade any nation and overrun them is the same confidence Hitler had and that ignited the second world war.

All those trucks parked on both sides of the road along Lagos - Ibadan expressway they are death traps.
Why did the government allow such on the highway?

Since the refinery began operations we have not witnessed any serious fuel crisis in Nigeria unlike those days when some cabals would decide to hoard petrol and subject the citizens to more hardship especially during festive periods.

I used to think bandits are spirits that's why our security forces can't find them. Even when victims are rescues they will never make any arrest.
