Please help, I was diagnosed for typhoid last year, I got it treated with drugs,(ciprotab) amoxiciln but it wouldn't relieve me until I requested for admission, was given Drip IV.The persistent headache relieved me immediately and I felt very fine.. about 2 months ago, I felt feverish and I bought malaria drugs, when it persisted I got ciprotab, but to no avail..I went for malaria and typhoid test, the result shows I have a chronic typhoid..though it was in a private hospital..I got injection and some drugs given to me..but I have not been feeling very fine like I used to..why am concerned is I just treated this same typhoid last year..with thorough IV treatment.. please what should I do now..am frustrated...

sorry abt ur condition. what are ur symptoms now after treatment?. I'll suggest u discuss with a doctor who specialized in such area.. I may not be able to give u any help now. as am also in a similar problem

chemiron is usually one tablespoon three times a day. from redoil's earlier post, he took two tablets of faggon a day, I guess one morning and one evening

op. typhoid can become critical in some people. personally I have used almost antibiotics for the past four years when mine started. mine used to respond to ciprofloxacin back then in 2011. but later on cipro or any other antibiotic would only cure the fever symptom. leaving me with headache, dizziness, heart palpitations, abdominal discomfort which I have been dealing with till now. these symptoms affect my strength, personality . I have seen several doctors, used several herbs and no way. even the doctors sometimes dismissed me saying am just imagining my symptoms that was after running several tests such as Thyroid function test, liver function tests, electrocardiogram, hepatitis, HIV and so many others. which all were negative.

one thing that worked for me in 2012 was stool culture, and sensitivity at a point it stopped working. op u should try it. go to a very good medical laboratory, preferably that of a general hospital. tell them you would like to culture salmonella typhi using stool sample and carry out antibiotics sensitivity. this shouldn't cost more than one thousand naira. in three days your results will indicate the right antibiotic you will use. mind you don't buy it on your own cos sm of them are very dangerous and out of use. meet a doctor to approve of the dosage and usage.

I remeber that after trying my luck with the private hospital i decided to to go to the teaching hospital "otiboh okhai" at iruwa in edo state and later lasuth running different expensive test with the same result "typoid fever" i realy suffered for more than a year.

I have been suffering from continuous headaches, dizziness and others for 3years.. it started as typhoid and at a point these symptoms won't leave me. done all kinds of tests in the same irrua specialist teaching hospital u mentioned. all tests were negative except typhoid. there at otibhor they kept on giving me many diff. antibiotics. that won't cure it. well

methink that should be the best. Instead of liquid chemiron you can take 2 tablet or one tablet daily as will be prescibe by the doc.

I think the chemiron is to increase blood levels, since the blood purifier can detoxify and drain blood . sorry am asking too many questions, what were your typhoid symptoms,

any chemist near you it is usally sold for 12 tablet for N10 naira. While some doctors will say 2 per day others will say 4 per day i.e 2 in the morning and 2 at night it should be taken after meal and it always causes heavy drowsiness when taken.

My dear, those drugs the doctor gave you, only cools the typhoid that is why it comes back. those drugs have side effects. what u have to do is to get a herbal supplement for typhoid and use for the treatment. Headache,chest pain,mouth is bitter, back pain etc. Have done HIV Test threee times so tнαt is out of it. Drugs taken Amoxil,ciprotab,chloraphenicol,etc. It actually reduced sometime ago but since then,the left overs are still remaining.
