Hi Nlanders, I am about to seek admission into NOUN to obtain an M.Sc. in Public Health. I work for my state government and am also an entrepreneur. Due to the nature of my job being demanding. I am thinking of doing my MSc in NOUN. But what is holding me back is, is it internationally recognised. In case there is an opportunity later in future won't i be sidelined because i attended NOUN? Do conventional university recognize them assuming i want further for PhD?

A masters degree in nigeria right now is a waste of funds and time and i dont see that changing anytime soon!

Nigeria is not becoming, it is a crime scene. A really big one. To reduce crime, you have to eliminate hunger. To reduce criminality, you have to eradicate hunger and lack mindset. You see that part, it will take atleast 50 years of consistency to do so. SINGAPORE did it. But i doubt nigeria has the political will to follow such suit

If I were Sanwo Olu, I would accelerate the rate at which Lagos indigenes are loved and cared for and every other Yoruba person too. I would declare free medical treatment for all Yoruba indigenes , ensured they are registered and paid a certain stipend. The statement that yorubas are accomodating is a fallacy. I say that because if you go to other states, there are also yorubas there or igbos or hausas there, npbody has asked them to leave which i find very absurd. The only people that have ever asked others to leave are yoruba people, even the north have not asked igbos to leave. It just happens that out of the three major tribes in nigeria, igbos are the most travlled and they do this mainly for economic benefit, that is their nature. So in a state like lagos where there is economic boom, it is jist the case where you see them alot more..period
