Apple just announced the next gen iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with specs similar to what some android OEMs are doing with their flagship smartphones. Which is to say that the new iPhone packs a lot of firsts for an iPhone. Talk about an ip67 rating which makes it waterproof as well as dust proof. Meaning you could take the iPhone 7 wit you into the shower without any fear of damaging you phone.

Another first for Apple is the dual camera setup on the iPhone 7 Plus. We have seen quire a few smartphones with dual camera setups but none has giving us a 2X optical zoom feature. Both phone cameras both can capture images I a wider color gamut, output images in RAW format and are both capable of Optical Image also capable of creating incredible depth of field images. A feature which has been available on android phones for some time now.

The new iPhone comes with the usual 4.7 inch for the iPhone 7 and 5.5 inch for the IPhone 7 Plus. The resolution is still what Apple calls RetinaHD display.
The retina display on the new iPhone is 25% brighter, has a wider color gamut to give off a cinematic experience while viewing the screen. It also supports 3D Touch and color management to further enhance the color reproduction to your taste.

Audio performance has also been improved with the inclusion of a new stereo speaker that gives a wider dynamic sound. And like the rumor mill predicted, Apple has removed the 3.5mm analog headphone jack. Instead piping audio through through the lightening port. Although Apple will include a 3.5mm adapter so you don't have to buy a new headphone for your iPhone 7. 
Still on audio Apple went wireless with the new Airpods which are just like regular Earpods but without the wires. It's compartible with all iDevices. It's powered by Apples new W1 chip. Upcoming Beats Audio headphones will take advantage of this new W1 chip for outstanding audio performance.

The iPhone 7 is powered by the new A10 fusion. It's a quad core processor with two high efficiency cores and two high performaning cores much like the current snapdragon 820. 
Graphics  is 2.5x the performance of the A9X. The new chip is supper efficient with upto 14 hours on WiFi browsing.

The iPhone 7 will come with double the storage option starting from 32gb upto 256gb of ram. The iPhone 7 starts at $649 for the base model while the iPhone 7 Plus starts at $749 for the base model. Two new color options has been added to the iPhone color options. However the new colors ; Jet black and black will be only available in the 256gb models of the iPhone 7 and 7 plus.

Preorder will start on September 9th and they will be available in stores on September 16th.

As for premium feel the m5 plus will still look cheap compared to xiaomi note 3 pro.
