Heffalump: America has oil and gas that can sustain them effectively. They also have technology that can give them energy.
You need to consider how Maduro dealt with the opposition candidate to install himself as president. He's a big-time election rigger. A dictator that wants to be a lifetime president in Venezuela. No country is truly an Island. If the UN can pass a resolution that any president or contestant to the presidency that tempers with the electoral system will be booted out of power, it will help sanitize the madness we see today as democracy.
Democracy has been reduced to a charade in so many countries of the world, thereby causing antisocial and antihuman problems. If a country chooses democracy, then she must abide by the tenets of democracy. Don't tell me about the sovereignty of any country. You talk of sovereignty, and some group of hulks will hijack power in a country because they are so powerful and you expect the world to sit and watch? Use Nigeria as a case study. We failed to get it right because of individuals hijacking power under democracy. People hide under democracy to commit the greatest sin against the human race. Too bad.
Maduro needs to be taught a bitter lesson for others to learn. America consume more oil than it produces.. Who appointed America the lesson teacher? Saying trump wants oil is not a compiracy theory but fact that he said himself. Hear from trump himself. I don't do conspiracy theories. |

What is wrong with you some of you here, why do you keep mentioning oil oil steal oil here and there!
Do you know how many drugs coming in from Venezuela into other parts of American countries on monthly basis. In 200 years to come United States of America will never go dry in oil cos they have it in abundance. They are rich and wealthy already
$ and how are they going to sustain the wealth of not through Petro dollars? They don't even control manufacturing anymore. Here from trump himself. I don't do conspiracy theories. |

Cromagnon: Name one country whose resources are stolen with no pay at world price? lmao. Pay at world price when all they do is go into countries with oil, destabilize it, put the oil in the hand of terrorists and ally companies so they can buy it cheaply from terrorists controlling the oil in black market or through Ally western companies. Lmao. He said pay world price. 😭😂 |

FatimaAbubakar: We have heard this false narrative about Trump stealing other countries' oil so many times. Look for something new to say. It's stale already. It's a false narrative formed by Islamic terrorism sympathizers and supporters of corrupt governments. Just how old are you? Do I sound like a conspiracy theorists to you? Oya hear it from Trump's mouth himself. |

RealLordZeus: What i don't understand about this fentanyl war is , if there is no buyer, will there be a seller.. What happens to educating their citizens on the danger of abuse.. I once read a documentary where the CIA was fingered to be part of the trade. If Venezuela was shut down today because of their drug export to US, there are many countries that will replace them.
Also, Venezuela is an Oil producing nation, the largest deposit, why are they exporting drugs when they have a God given natural resources that can be converted to fund lol You seriously believe this is about drugs? If they are looking for drugs, they will go and invade their neighbors in Mexico. Trump thinks this is still the 90s where America can wake up and invade any country using flimsy excuses in other to steal their oil. |

If you want to earn respect from Trump, call his bluff and defeat him. He respects only those who defeat him.
Today, he rubbishes E.U and U.K like cowardly irrelevant blocs. He only respects dictators. I'm sure those worshiping trump today would have been crying if the president they hate and making them go mad is a dictator that trump loves. |

Politics › Re: NIPOST: Nigerians To Pay $80 Duty For Every Package Sent To US by ribbit: 9:10am On Aug 30, 2025 |
Houseontherock1: While you may argue that it comes from a recent U.S. Executive order that scrapped the duty-free exemption for lower-value shipments, and NIPOST is simply implementing it, applying a flat $80 fee hits ordinary Nigerians and small businesses the hardest. $80 charge on every US-bound parcel ls excessive. It raises questions of fairness and proportionality. Why should someone sending a package worth $30 still pay $80 in “prepaid duty”? Policies like this stifle trade, discourage diaspora connections, and worsen inequality. Global compliance is one thing, but punishing low-value senders is another. At the very least, there should be a tiered or value-based system instead of this blanket charge. I still say they are trying to make money off Nigerians on every opportunity and have no mercy for ordinary Nigerians PrincessDiana: Thanks for posting this. Everything you said is 100% correct. The government of the day is desperately looking for money to fund their renewed "hopelessness". I personal package sent from the US to a friend was recently charged N160k plus as customs duty. No matter how much he argued that the value is just $30, nobody listened. A package weighing less than 1kg. Nipost is not fit for purpose and what they dont realise is that many people will simply stop using their services. the suspension of diminmis is the reason. It's affecting China and everyone. sending higher package size will still fetch more than 80 USD. Read before you post. |
