I got my passport request 5 days ago and till now when I check the tracker, there is no visa number or anything like that

Today I got a mail saying my application status has changed

Am I supposed to be scared ?

-When I log into IRCC account, my application says my eligibility status was reviewed. But it still shows final decision as “approved”

The tracker account says “in progress” and has no visa number displayed

This is really confusing

I just got a new 10 years passport
But I used a different passport to make my Canadian visa application

Do I submit the 2 passports together?

Hey fam,

I applied for my Canadian visa with my passport that has only 9 months validity as at now.

I have received my passport request and also successfully renewed my passport with 10 years validity

Do I submit both passport to VFS ?

Thanks so much for your feedback, you have no idea how much you have helped me.

I now wonder why in the hell they put up that stuff on their website, very misleading. I noticed that you can still schedule an appointment on their website despite the notice on it.

The message is misleading and they said it was posted by VFS headquarters because they thought they will suspend services in Nigeria due to the protests for security reasons

But services have not been suspended yet
They are still operating in Lagos because the protesting people have stopped

What happened? Is it because of the protests ? Did you receive any notification from VFS about cancellation of your appointment?

Please I have a passport submission tomorrow at Lekki VFS in Lagos and I just saw this on the VFS website

Booking of appointments is very straightforward...you're beter off doing it and you can be in and out in under 20 minutes.

I only submitted consent letter the first time I did biometrics...if your biometrics are still valid no need for consent letter. Just come with two copies of your passport, your appointment letter, and your passport request letter.

Thank you! By 2 copies of passport, you mean passport photographs ?

Because I only have 1 copy of my international passport

Also, must I print the passport request in Coloured or they accept black and white

Can I still walk into VFS lekki without an appointment for passport submission

Do I need to fill consent letter if I’m submitting in person?

Apply for a visit visa normally. You don't need to do anything special. Of cos you need to ensure your account is in good shape and you can convince the visa officer that you intend to come back to Nigeria.

So I got a student visa to UK to study in 2023 for an engineering MSc

The program was so hard and complex and I wasn’t ready to fail so I deferred my studies to 2025 when I’ll be mentally ready

NB: I have already paid my full and complete tuition 100%

I left UK back to Nigeria in 2024, a month to the expiration of my student visa

Now one of my friends in the UK is doing his wedding in November and I want to attend. I know I can only return with a visiting visa as my student visa has expired

Please how can I make my new application? Will I be denied visa ?

Will I have to build my account for 6 months ?

Please advise, I beg you
