Na small-small their eyes go dey open.
There's no tribe in Nigeria that believes in equality more than the Yorubas. The average yoruba will castigate his brother if he's found wanting even if the 'opponent' is an outsider.

Na small-small their eyes go dey open to reality say they have opened their roofs for enemies to live amongst them.

You will agree with me that the perception of Yorubas about ndigbos in 2024 is not d same as 2019. Make una juss continue on the path to self-destruction; d thing wey una dey look for, una go see am promax. Your grandfathers did it thru d military/gun in 1966 and their grandchildren confirmed their action (thru petrol) in october 2020 to show that the former (1966) wasn't by chance.

so, in short u are saying the witnesses to the events and vanguard newspaper lied??

Yes, i am asking you because you sounded sure what happened, who did it and how it happened.
A very dumb submission from a 'graduate'.
So how many judges were present at the scene of crime scenes b4 they make their judgements?
Izit not the words of witnesses that they use in coming to their conclusions?

My fellow igbos? how did you conclude that i am igbo? Have you ever met me? How many igbos witnessed it? Did the tell you personally that they witnessed it?
U reason like one.
If den checkam now, laslas, u go be ss, and is se and ss no longer one again??

You wanna be very careful how you make claims, if you are called up in court to testify, can you testify to all you have been saying on here?
Let's even assume I slandered u; to use ur own logic, "was the judge there"?

Did you ever personally witness everything you hear on-ground witnesses recount??

Witnesses to the events are telling whoever cares to listen what happened, you didn't see anything to say about that but you are asking me if I was there. How does that even add up Biko?

Your fellow igb贸s witnessed the killing, a pro-east newspaper reported it but "it is false" because I wasn't there right??
grin grin
Calitoscassius:
I asked you a simple question, did you witness it?

Don't tell me what every sane Naigerian knows, you cannot confirm what they know. You THINK! try using the word THINK. It would help you in your life. Stop concluding, if you are quizzed and interogated on these your claims can you proof any of it? Stop spreading false informations you cannot proof.

Ibos and history revisionism.
Events that happened less than 60 years ago is what you have shamelessly re-interpreted??
If it's an event that happened in the 14th century we can give it a benefit of doubt since all witnesses are long dead but not an event that still has living witnesses.

See why nigerians deservedly don't trust una??
cool

gidgiddy:
On July 29th 1966, one of the bloodiest military coups in Nigerias history occured. Young military officers of Nothern extraction, led Lt Colonel Murtala Mohammed, staged a coup that that would claim over 300 lives, mostly Igbos. Prominent people who died in the coup include the military head of State, General Aguiyi-Ironsi, and Military Governor of the Western Region, Lt Colonel Fajuyi.

There was widespread killing of officers from the East in places like Kaduna Barrack, Abeokuta Barrack, Ikeja Barrack. The coup succeeded in the North and Western Region, but had little effect in the East and Midwest Region's. Major Yaradua was to lead the coup from Enugu Barrack, but was told that there was no way him and his men would be able to make it out of the East alive, surrounded by millions of Igbos if he tried such, so he shelved the plan.

However, one of the most remarkable things about July 29th 1966 coup is despite the coup being very bloody, many of its participants such Murtala Mohammed, TY Danjuma, IBB, Buhari, Abacha, all went on to be relevant in Nigeria, even to this day.

Murtala Mohammed would later become Military Head Is state, and has Airports, Highways and buildings named after him. He was even put on the N20 note. Danjuma would become Chief of Army Staff and retired in his 40's. He is a billionaire and still very influential. Buhari and IBB would become Military heads of state, with Buhari getting elected twice as civilian President. Yaradua would become no 2 man in Obasanjo's military regime, and went to become a very influential man who paved the way for his younger brother to become President. Abacha also would also become Military Head Of State

As bloody as the July 29 1966 coup was, the officers that participated in it are the ones who still control Nigeria

Didn't turn violent cause it took place mainly in the SW and the saboteurs couldn't do much

Plus, the protest had elites and highly ranked personalities who are peace-loving and sane

To put this in a better context, it had almost none-Eastern person at the forefront, the last that had one, EndSars, ended in turmoil
