I changed his soap and cream from Johnson to sebamed, then got him abidec multivitamin, he was given afrabvite in the hospital. Can't just figure out what could be the cause.

Lol, that's the reason I was given when I asked oh. Think it's a naija tradition though even my mil and aunt did same was they bath him. Abeg bosslady my 3 weeks baby has rash on his face and little on his arm and thigh.

My mum used towel soaked in warm water to massage the surrounding and the cord before cleaning with spirit. When cleaning with spirit make sure you clean the surrounding and the cord itself thoroughly. My son own fall off at 12days. We still massage with warm water till it heals completely. The whole warm water massaging is for internal healing.
. A Matron advised we put little purit disinfectant in the warm water.

Hello.mamas, I know a lot of questions are yet to be answered but I will appreciate if this is answered. My baby is 15 days now and his placenta cord hasn't come off, my mum is kinda worried that it is taking too long. The doctors advice that I only clean it with cotton wool and methylated spirit but my mum is of the opinion that we should use heat compress on it. The stump looks fine, no smells, no discharge and it's shrinking but my mum thinks it's just taking too long. What else can I do, she is getting me to panic and I don't know if I should allow her use heat on his navel.

Good evening mamas, pls my 3 weeks baby has rash on his body more concentrated on his face and thigh. I changed his soap and cream from Johnson to sebamed thinking it was the soap but it's still not improving. Pls help me out.

Hello everyone o, mama sayoberry, mytestimony and others I hail o, I am a FTM here porting from the pregnancy thread. Had my baby boy 12days ago. Now my challenges are much o, firstly my baby seems to suck always especially at night, he sucks for over an hour and still cries when I remove his mouth.. I had to buy Nan 1 for him to supplement but I feel bad sometimes cos I had plan to breastfeed him exclusively, what can I do.
Secondly, pls I need advise on what family planning method to use, I want to use the IUD but I am hearing a lot of stories about it affecting DH and even hurting him, pls experience mamas is this always true, if so what other alternative can I use, I hate drugs so the pill.is out of it and I don't want something I will have to be using every 3months, I want something long term.

I'm in same boat as you are I had to buy nan 1 and bottle from second day. Had to plans to feed formula too. My baby boy is 20days,was told boys eat more than girls too. My boy sucks for 1 hour too. Even with the pumped out breast milk he takes 120 ml at a go. you should try pumping too. Have no experience on birth control, ftm too.

my baby is a month old nw. I also used d gel but i usually clean with spirit & cotton wool first b4 applying it.
It has close up nw, but am still using d gel every morning.

how long did it take for your baby own to fall?

How often do u clean d cord? Does it smell? I ll advice u use spirit abd cotton wool and clean every 2hrs. It shld ordinarily fall of within d 1 st week or say 7-10days

I use the gel every time I change diaper, I will start using spirit now. Thanks so much.

Congratulations on the safe delivery of ur baby. I didnt know about the gel you talked about,i used spirit for the cord and it healed perfectly but since it was given to you from the hospital,use it often it should fall before 3weeks. The Nestle nan is the same,its just that the bifidus is the new product and the easy scoop is the old.

Good day mama, I'm new and a ftm. Please how long does it take for cord to fall and what did you use I'm chlorxy-G gel I was given that at the hospital. My baby more than week old and cord still intact. Then what's the difference between nestle nan easy scoop and nestle nan bifidus.
