Why should cut teeth?
Piglets often fight each other for the nipples, which will cause 3 problems:
1.Piglets will bite each others’ cheek with fangs when fighting for the nipples, once the bacterial infection inflammation, will affect their suck;
2.Piglets may bite the nipples or breasts of their mother sows, which cause sows pain and discomfort, seriously affect the growth and development of piglets if mother sows refuse breastfeeding;
3.Other sows may often get up and lie down due to the pain, which may press the piglets.
So the piglets were born, it is best to cut off their tangs, in order to ensure the normal lactation piglets and sows the healthy growth and development.

How to Cut Teeth?
Use your thumb and index finger to pinch the place between the upper and lower jaw(i.e.both sides of the ear), to force piglets open mouth to make their fangs bared, then use the tooth scissors to cut the two sides fangs.

Notes:
1.Disinfect the cutting tool after each piglet cut to avoid cross infection of bacteria
2.If the piglets after birth is weak, it is not good to cut teeth. In order to enhance their ability to fight for nipples, it is better to cut their pangs 3-4 days later
3.In order to prevent the growth of weaned pigs, stage of the waist, can be docked on the newborn piglets.

Attention:
1.When cutting teeth, should be careful not to hurt the gums and tongue; don’t let the piglets swallow the cut-down teeth
2.It should be close to the gums when cutting teeth to avoid leaving sharp edges and corners, because it will cause infection later
3.For the piglets whose weight are less than 1 kg, it is best not to cut teeth, so as to avoid the greater stress caused to small and weak piglets, to enhance their competitiveness when fight for the nipples with the larger individual scissors partners
4.can use a stick to grind the teeth off, it can reduce the damage to the gums, the pulp, and the infection, but it will take longer time.
