...Breaking bad, prison break, 24 and others |
In as much as I don't advocate for an indirect 3rd tenure for any political office holder; I expected GEJ to hang his boots at the completion of this tenure for another leader to take over. We shouldn't allow our future in the hands those who battered (or even bettered) our yesterday. The future of Nigeria belongs to every Nigerian. What we need is simply CHANGE. But unfortunately, I don't see an element of CHANGE. (Just my two cents.). Choosing between a former Army general and the incumbent President is like choosing between a rock and a hard place. I would have preferred it most if PDP conducted a fair primary election and nominated someone else; I would have loved it if APC fielded Osibanjo or someone else as President. I don't want to sound sentimental. But before we cast our votes, let's think about Nigerians dying in the hands of BH. I just feel it has something to do with February 2015. Let's cast our votes wisely. |

Oga Spyder, Muyensky and other gurus in the house, I'm a public servant in his mid-20s working here in Owerri. About 4 years ago being single, I had no problems managing my match-box sized self contained room even though it had no kitchen. Back then, my annual house rent was like my one month overtime pay. I never saved or bothered about the next rent due date. I never knew landlord's palava until few years back when I started nursing the ambition to get 'squared'. Of course friends constantly reminded me that it would be uncalled for remaining in my 'cubicle' and at the same time trying to raise myself to the power of 2. I had to concur, and relocate to a miniflat which guzzeled 50% of my annual housing allowance after adding up agent, agreement and security fees. Hmmmmn..... I sensed wahala coming. I pretended nothing happened. No shaking! I forged ahead. God blessed my hustle and I finally got married to my best friend on planet earth, lived for one more year in the miniflat. God blessed my marriage with a handsome baby boy. Of course...'mother-in-law no fit miss Omugwo'. We all had to manage our small apartment. Early this year, I realized we were occupying much space, visitors coming, baby growing up, hoping and looking forward to seeing another baby, and I saw the need to upgrade to a 2 bedroom flat for convenience-sake. God helped us pack in to the much bigger apartment. Well, I had to pay for a fresh agent and agreement fee together with the annual rent taking over 80% of my annual housing allowance. Now e don dey clear say wahala dey! But thank God, I was able to acquire a plot of land in the suburbs 2 years ago. Today the worth of the land is about 50% added to the worth when I bought it. I visited my land and realized people are now living there. I didn't recognize my land.lol Already it's Embers month and as l was thinking of Mr Landlord and his inevitable rent, my wife slipped a white paper to me and said it came from the landlord. The heading of the letter was house rent renewal and increment. Chaiiii! I don't have a problem paying house rent today, but what of tomorrow? What if the job is no longer there? How long am I to continue working for my landlord? .....My wife 'gingered' me to think of building my own house by saying...a landlord shouldn't live at tenant road... Na Im I use speed dey rush order the clearing and uprooting of the whole land like say I be big man. Well I have to pay for extra one year rent while trying to build my own house. So make una no vex, I sweat enter here now seeking advise on how much it would cost me to set up the block work of a 3 bedroom bungalow. Me I be jjc for building, any good advice at all would be appreciated. I would keep you abreast on the progress of work God-willing. Make una help me. |
God forgive them for they know not what they are saying. I am a Sinner and I admit. It is surprising how busy the path that leads to death is crowded with multitudes. Only a fool will ever think that there is no God. People are now listening to their science teachers, elites and man-made lifestyles more than they listen to their inner voice just to fit-in a world leading to damnation. Wish I'm closer to you Father. Lord forgive us. Lord forgive me. |
heiiiii...beyond repair. akupiala the boy beyond mmekwatarism...chaiiii |

Nelson202, na ur papa get toyota? Dem go kill u one dayooo!I don tell u! Onye oshi! |
For preservation, just keep the drums of oil either inside the house or outside under the shade of a tree to avoid direct sun heat. |
It has a span of at least one year. U don't have to worry about it's expiry. |
I bought the palm oil from local palm oil dealers inside villages in Osisioma close to Aba. They sell in 25 litres can; around #2700 to #3200 per can. You just keep the empty drums with them. A drum is about 210 litres.that's about 8 cans. When they fill the drums with palm oil, u pay them and carry your oil to a safe place. It is advisable to buy during March to May because @ that time palm plantations do well, there are enough palm oil available and prices are low. So, keep ur drums of oil in a safe place until around October to December when prices hike, depending when u are comfortable with the selling price. If u want to sell, contact dealers selling in the north to come and buy the oil. Selling is never a problem, a lot of buyers would be ready to pay. They'll pay based on the current price. There are other places u can buy cheap cuz they have a lot of palm plantations like Ohaji-Egbema and Umuagwo, close to Imo State Poly in Imo state. If u want to do the biz, u can start saving now for March next year. It is the kind of biz we public servants can do cuzz it does not require our presence though it's a long term one. |
My brother, it's not easy to save money. It also happened to me.All I wanted was to limit the cash at hand at all times;because if u have cash, u must find a reason to spend. My formula to solving the problems was this. I opened a Contract-Save account with my bank; which I automatically withdraws #40,000 monthly from my salary account. I couldn't withdraw till after the 1 year contract. Then I also had about 80,000 left- all I judiciously needed on a month was around 35,000. So I obtained salary loan of #1million naira for 3 years. I used the money to buy a plot of land close to a growing city in the East.after 3 years, I paid the loan fully. Today the land is being priced about #1.6m. I don't want to resell. I also realised close to a million from my contract save acct in 2 years. I used the contract save money to buy palm oil in drums(32 drums) during february last year @ 32,000 per drum. And sold @ 49,500 @ december. It helped me buy a car an. I work with a brewery company where I did my NYSC. And with my little income,I have so much to look at. Most importantly I went for DE and converted my HND to B.Eng. I hope this formula would be helpful. |
I traveled to Malaysia in 2010 on a social visit visa; I attended a conference @ Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. I visited some schools like Multimedia University Cyberjaya Campus and Universiti Kuala Lumpur. I lodge in Seri Pacific hotel beside PWTC but also visited places like Selangor, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya. Malay is also beautiful with beautiful infrastructure(petronas twin towers) esp in KL My advice for students is this, if u don't have enough funds for ur studies, I don't think Malaysia is a good destination for you. There laws are very strict...going to jail is very easy in Malaysia. |
Yes, like every other person would say "It's too autocratic" considering that UN declaration of Human Rights and also recalling that the our Country is a multicultural nation. We are thereby obliged by the law of the land to absorb the spirit of others and encourage Religious Pluralism. BUT it is also neccesary to note that you cannot judge the deepness of the pond from the outside. During the Pre-colonial days, twins were killed in the name of pacifying the gods of the land in some regions of this country; today it's history because somebody stood up against all odds to put a full stop to it. We can say "it was neccesary" but we forgot it was an infringement of freedom of worship. Some traditions have this fetish practise of burying Kings with bunch of other human heads( you'll never see it from the outside). Insiders are only aware! This King might have saved a life with this bold step...it could be anyone! Anyone... Truly every King is appointed by God! |
@ Jmoore, I hate arguing irrelevantly. If u have somebody living in the US, call the person and confirm and make urself the biggest joker of the year. If u know nothing about what we do, Better say nothing! |
@ Pafestula, the problem is that WWE fans do not visit Nairaland sports section because they know it's definitely not for them. I rarely visit this section.I believe others rarely visit too, so don't expect much comments. @ Jmoore,it's a big joke to say WWE is fake, u mean some rich Nigerians fans travel to New York to watch live film trick @ Wrestlemania 29? Infact I'm about getting a ticket to watch WWE live event @ Abu Dhabi come October to watch Chinese film. WWE athletes are trained professionals in their field.I know a Nigerian living in Pittsburg PA,who watches almost all RAW and Smackdown and all Pay-per-Views. Tell me u are joking! |
Supported! We have WWE universe in Nigeria. When I open the Sports section and see only goals,Chelsea, cup and Mourinho; I patiently scroll down to see if I can see DDTs, chokeslam, RKOs, 619,knock-out-puch,the champ is here, the beard is here, world's strongest slam, brogue-kicks etc but I get disappointed. WWE is one of the if not the most interactive sport in the world. WWE has the most passionate fans among sports entertainment yet an average WWE fan is a gentleman; he does not make noise. WWE has the most dangerous yet polite men and women in sport business. They deserve a front page in Nairaland. Thank you! |
Mr Jeeboy, I'm sorry to inquire using this thread(politics). I am supposed to do this in Auto section but couldn't see any of ur topics there. I'm about buying a Nigerian used Echo 2002 model but wanted to know more about the car b4 I pay.I read ur comment on Toyota thread car talk. I want to know about its parts availabilty outside lagos and cost of maintenance. I was attracted by the reviews in Edmunds.com about d car's fuel economy. U can send me ur contact or flash me (08067745949) I will call back. Thank you! |
I'm warming up, let's see what happens today @ Queen's College Enugu. Baba God dey sha! Success to all Nairalanders!
|
Moreover, it is suppose to be 1999 or 1998 camry and not 2003. Confirm and correct! Tnx |
Prime time players is one of the weakest teams if not the weakest in WWE(maybe a bit stronger than any two members of 3MB). Young is not as strong as described above; he has never been a world champion and he loses 3 out of every 4 matches. I'm not surprised he is Gay! |
Lily, I think say na Nissan get Pathfinder? Kindly make the neccesary corrections. Thank you! |
