remove your battery, then plug in your charger without the battery, your phone will try to restart, then put in your battery while the charger is still plugged in, that will sync your battery level with your phone, then remove the battery and keep it somewhere for at least 2hrs, after that charge it, it will start charging from 0%. This is the combination of two methods to rectify that problem, just follow it faithfully

Try using another Z10 battery on your phone and see how it works. if it dosent go off @ 70 - 80%, replace battery

Bro, my z10 keeps tripping off on its own. I get it charged to 100% and when it gets to 70- 80% it goes off. I tried updating to the latest OS and even running a fresh autoloader to no avail. I will very much appreciate your help.

Pal, your tecno phone is simply over-priced. Google up Oppo R7 plus and Oneplus 2. Their specs beats your flagship anyday and they come cheaper and more reliable too.

Asides that, even the Samsung S6 edge with a 2600mAh will last longer than a Tecno with a 3000mAh, reason cos that Tecno is not a standardised coy(they over-hype their true power rating just for an easy sell and to trap the gullible ones). They keep churning out phones for 3rd world countries alone. They ain't taken serious in the business of phone manufacturing.
