Hello house, please I need advice.on the coolant to use on my volvo v40 2000 model. I want to flush the coolant and replace it with a fresh one. The one that is presently there came with the vehicle. The engine is an aluminium engine. Thanks

So I think you should get your mechanic check you timing and properly set it well. Then let him inspect your vvt.

My little question, why did the mechanic decide to readjust your timing. Did he design the engine or does the manufacturer tell you to do such an adjustment. Meanwhile run a scan on your engine to get.The fault codes. Also how is the noise of your engine, your exhaust could be blocked or the timing belt adjustment has kept your valves open thereby reducing your cylinder compression.

You may have air in your coolant.

U could either have an internal leak into your engine or a failed radiator cap if you can't see an external leakage. Try and get a replacement for your radiator cap if the problem continues, see your mechanic

If you are within delta state I could scan and diagnose the problems on your car.

I have a volvo vida tool. But I need a volvo subscription to add a new key. That's why I need another tool to do this job. Have u done a similar job for any volvo user.

Do you have the right pressure cap on your radiator, does your radiator have a water hortage from.time t time. Also your water pump does it work ok

Good morning everyone. Please I need to program a new key for my volvo v40 or duplicate my existing key so I can have a spare. Please can anyone tell how to go about this from experience or recommend a tool which I can use to get these done.

As others have said start by scanning. But in your maintenance history, did u change your plugs, did u have a vacuum leakage, have ur mechanic also check ur air flow sensor and air filter, also check for leaking injectors. When you have done a scan drop the codes you find too.
