Very well. One of my uncle, now of blessed memory. He was a government teacher, I think grade 14, he never use to have money. Debts here and there, b4 his salary could come, they is already owning cause banks will deduct their loans. He borrow food stuffs, borrow money from friends, even my money in which I gave him to hold for me for my jamb registration, dude was unable to give me back the money when jamb commenced registration the following week. Note I gave him the money to keep for me cause he was borrowing the little salary them paid me for my work it was almost finishing and i knw for sure i wont be able to ask him to refund the money i borrowed him so i use scope to give him 6k that he should hold for me i wan use am register jamb cause NDA gave us time to submit our form with jamb reg number immediately jamb reg commence. Hehehe he was unable to give me back i had to source for fund somewhere else. He doesn't have much responsibility ooo. Just 2 children in primary school then. I always ask My self what is he doing with his salary. He was not building any house at all, no investment on ground, no house rent or i guess they paid 4500 naira for a year cause we were living in teachers quarter, yet he still had accumulated debts for that 4,500 house rent a year. But guess what? He still remain my most precious uncle even till date. Just wealth and death cheated him.

Edit: it got to some point I was beginning to thunk that all teachers are poor. Cause almost all of them living in that staff quarters had similar characteristics, Sapa and debts was written all over their faces yet they al earn 6 figures

If the minimum wage is still at N30k while the price of Golden penny already increased to N900 in 7 years or so, how much do you think that same spaghetti would cost if the minimum wage is increased to let's say N100k?

Now u foolishly gave us the answer we are all looking for. From what u quote up there, it implies minimum wage or income didn't affect the price of the Golden penny, cause the minimum wage has been held constant. Apparently other economics factors such as unemployment, low level of technical knowhow and productions above all bad government policies lead to that. Definitely increase in minimum wage shouldn't bother u then cause I believe that's not the only factor that triggers inflation. Increase in the circulation or supply of money alone can never and will never leads to inflation of prices of goods and services. I wish I can school you, but your mind is politically shadowed to allow anyform of reasoning from the real world.
Increase in minimum will result to increase in savings and thus when there's savings, it will lead to investment. How can one save from 30k if he buys spaghetti 900 naira pays school fees from an average family of 3 children? Or do u want to still remain unfortunate?
