they are more considerate. The list is not that much (you buy a few items for the parents and the lady). Then a few crates of drinks, kola, sweet (candies) two or three bags of salt, nothing much like that. I was the only one who went to collect the list because other members of my family live very far away. The Northerners are very simple people. The " Traditional wedding" which is called "Introduction" is done within the confines of the lady's compound without the usual noise and party that is associated with the Southerners. Just show up with your family, show the items which are already displayed for her family and friends to see, fix a date for the "white" wedding, introduction Don finish, not more than 2 hours. No party, no music, just light entertainment depends on your pocket sha.

My grandma died, I didn't attend her funeral because of the fear of travelling. When my wife's grandma died afterwards, nobody bothered to stress me because they knew I wouldn't travel.

Even to travel home for Sallah, I no dey try am.

I used to enjoy travelling before, but insecurity and all the unpalatable stories have made me detest it. 7 years running, I never comot for Lagos.
