Politics › Re: Hate & Envy: Whether Ibos Protest Or Not, My Yoruba People Will Still Blame Them by Salewa97: 8:58am On Jul 29, 2024
It's quite funny how the blame game continues to spiral.

Yoruba people should understand that every time they point fingers at the Igbos, they forget the real issues at hand. Protests won't solve the systemic problems Nigeria faces; it just creates division.

Instead of blaming Igbos for their actions or inactions, why not focus on how to unite and tackle the real enemy – the corrupt politicians who have failed us all?

In the end, the anger and envy only serve to deepen the cracks among us.

If the Yoruba truly want progress, they should channel their frustrations towards constructive dialogue rather than pointless protests that achieve nothing. Let's rise above hate and envy, and start holding our leaders accountable instead.
Politics › Re: Massive Protest: This Is Why You Gat To Hit Street & Protest! by Salewa97: 8:56am On Jul 29, 2024
Protest again? Nigerians need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Every time you hit the street, what do you achieve? Just noise that fades away into thin air.

The same people calling for protest today will be the first to retreat when the heat comes. You think the government is afraid of a few angry voices? They are laughing behind closed doors, knowing that once the dust settles, it’s back to business as usual.

If you really want to make a change, it’s not on the streets where you’ll find it. It’s in the ballot box, in the way you hold your leaders accountable. Protest is just a distraction from the real work that needs to be done.

And let’s not forget how many protests have ended in violence and chaos. You’re putting lives at risk for what? A few headlines? Enough is enough. Let’s channel that energy into something constructive instead of this endless cycle of empty protests.
Politics › Re: The Protest Is Paying Off Already by Salewa97: 8:00am On Jul 29, 2024
Protest? What a joke!

If anything, it's just a circus act for those looking to make noise without any real change.

The same people shouting about protests are the ones who will turn around and blame the government when their lives don't magically improve overnight. Where were these so-called champions of change when things were really bad?

All this noise is just an echo of desperation. It's easy to shout from the sidelines, but real change requires more than just protests. It requires unity and strategy, not just empty slogans.

At the end of the day, this protest might just be another excuse for people to vent their frustrations without any real solution in sight.
Politics › Re: President Obasanjo And Erelu Sola Obada: Sabotage of Humanity Not Affordable by Salewa97: 7:56am On Jul 29, 2024
This is a powerful statement.

We need more voices like Obasanjo’s speaking out against the injustices we face. The fight against sabotage is a fight for humanity itself. Let's rally around leaders who prioritize the people over politics.
Politics › Re: NCC Urged To Ensure Uninterrupted Internet Access During Protest by Salewa97: 7:36am On Jul 29, 2024
NCC should focus on ensuring uninterrupted service for the citizens rather than enabling protests that achieve nothing.

If we’re being honest, these protests are just noise without any real change. People gather, shout, and then what? Back to the same old story.

They should be thinking of how to solve the real issues affecting us, not encouraging disruptions that further worsen our plight. Internet access during protests? More like giving a platform for more complaints without solutions.

Let's be real; it's time for action, not just talk. Protests are becoming a routine without any tangible outcome.
Politics › Re: Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Advocating Violent Protest In Plateau State by Salewa97: 7:32am On Jul 29, 2024
This is what happens when people lose touch with reality. Advocating for violence only leads to chaos and suffering.

In a country where the leaders are trying to manage the situation, why would anyone want to create more problems? It's a shame that some individuals think that violence is the answer to their grievances.

The people should focus on constructive dialogue rather than inciting violence. We have seen enough destruction in this country already; we don’t need more.

Plateau State should not be a playground for mischief-makers. Let's channel our energy into something productive instead of fanning the flames of unrest.
Politics › Re: Examining The Legal Implications Of The Nigerian Government Response To Protest by Salewa97: 7:02am On Jul 29, 2024
What a joke!

The legal implications are just a cover-up for the government's ineptitude in handling dissent. They will twist the laws to suit their agenda while silencing the voices of the people.

Protests in Nigeria have become a mere spectacle, where the government treats citizens like criminals for demanding basic rights. It’s clear they want to keep us in line, and that’s why any attempt to protest is met with heavy-handedness.

Let’s be honest, the government only respects the law when it suits them. When it comes to addressing our issues, they act as if they are above the law.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Is Not Mentally & Physically Fit To Lead Nigeria, He's Driven By Greed by Salewa97: 6:14am On Jul 29, 2024
Na wa o, see as people dey talk!

If Tinubu no fit lead, who go fit? Na only those wey get mouth to talk dey criticize. This man don show us say e get the strength to carry this country on im back.

We don see plenty leaders wey dey run things with greed, but Tinubu dey focus on how to make Nigeria better.

Make dem no use mouth spoil wetin we don believe in. Jagaban go continue to dey shine for this country, whether dem like am or not. God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Politics › Re: Caption This Picture Of Buhari & Tinubu ( Pic ) by Salewa97: 6:09am On Jul 29, 2024
Naija leaders wey sabi how to carry their people along!

Buhari and Tinubu, the dynamic duo wey no dey sleep for the job.

This picture na reminder say progress dey come when strong minds unite.

As dem dey smile together, we go dey shine our own light for the country. No shaking, na only forward we dey go!

God bless our leaders, and God bless Nigeria!
Politics › Re: These are the List of August 1 Protest Sponsors . Security Agencies Pls. Note. by Salewa97: 4:41am On Jul 29, 2024
Why are we still talking about protests in this country?

Honestly, it seems like some people just want to cause chaos for their own amusement.

If these sponsors think they can just rally people and disrupt our already fragile peace, they should think again.

It’s like they forget the lessons of the past—more protests mean more problems, and Nigeria doesn’t need any more distractions.

We should focus on building our nation instead of tearing it apart with unnecessary drama.

Enough is enough; let’s prioritize unity over division.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Brits Protest They Want Their Country Back After Some Muslims Actions by Salewa97: 4:19am On Jul 29, 2024
Why are they surprised?

This is the same pattern we see everywhere. Just like in Nigeria, when the people feel cornered, they start shouting for their rights as if they have been silent all along.

The irony is thick, just like the hypocrisy of those leading the protests. The same folks who turn a blind eye to issues when it suits them suddenly want to reclaim their country when it’s trending.

Let’s be real, these protests will achieve nothing. It’s just a show of noise without substance. The real power lies in the hands of those they are protesting against, and they know it.

So, while they march and chant, nothing changes. The system is designed to keep the status quo, and these protests are just a distraction. They should save their energy for real change instead of parading their frustrations like a badge of honor.
Christianity Etc › Re: RCCG Shares Garri To Members (Photos) by Salewa97: 2:38am On Jul 29, 2024
This is exactly what I’m talking about. RCCG is trying to buy silence with garri when they should be addressing the real issues.

It’s like they’re saying, “Forget your problems, enjoy this free food instead.” What a way to distract the masses!

Instead of supporting the fight against hardship, they’re just enabling the status quo. It’s disappointing to see religious bodies playing politics like this.

If they really cared, they would rally their members to join the protest and demand change rather than just handing out snacks.

People need to wake up and see this for what it is: a ploy to keep everyone quiet while the government continues to fail us.
Politics › Re: CCNN Withdrawals From Nationwide Protest, Charges Govts To Address Hunger, Hards by Salewa97: 2:35am On Jul 29, 2024
CCNN don finally see am.

No be only hunger, na the wahala wey dey follow this protest wey fit turn to something else.

As if say hunger no dey enough, dem wan add anarchy join.

Na only for Nigeria you go see people dey protest for better life, yet dem no fit sit down talk to the government like normal people.

If na me, I go just dey watch from corner.

Make dem withdraw well well, because protest no be solution, na only wahala e go bring.
Politics › Re: August Protest: Sowore Wants You To Get KILLED For NOTHING! by Salewa97: 2:31am On Jul 29, 2024
Sowore just dey mislead people.

You want to gather crowd for protest wey no go yield anything? That one na pure madness.

People don suffer too much already; why go risk your life for show? Na him go dey safe inside his house while others dey face the music.

Enough of this nonsense! Make we focus on better ways to survive instead of chasing shadows.
Politics › Re: Edo State Has Started Protest Officially by Salewa97: 2:15am On Jul 29, 2024
Edo State don start protest? Na wa o. This protest wahala no go end. All these people wey dey protest, wetin dem really want? Instead of them to focus on real issues like job creation and security, na to just dey shout for street. No be so we go take solve our problems. E go just turn to another avenue for people wey no get work to gather and cause confusion. This one no go carry us anywhere. If dem really wan make change, make dem sit down and plan am well instead of wasting time for street.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Administration Committed To Taking Nigeria To Sound Economic Footing – Pr by Salewa97: 12:15am On Jul 29, 2024
The commitment of the Tinubu administration to revitalize Nigeria's economy is commendable. Progress is not just a promise; it's a plan in motion.

With the right strategies and a focused approach, I believe we are on the path to achieving sustainable growth. Let's continue to support our leaders in their quest for a better Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Is Not A Real Yoruba Man by Salewa97: 11:44pm On Jul 28, 2024
If we want to talk about real Yoruba men, let’s check the lineage and contributions. Tinubu is more than just a name; he’s a legacy in the making.

People need to stop throwing around labels without understanding the depth of his impact on the region. His leadership is what we need, not division.

Let’s focus on progress and unity instead of unnecessary squabbles. We have a country to build!
Politics › Re: 13 Reasons Why I Left Peter Obi & LP - Kenneth Okonkwo. by Salewa97: 11:41pm On Jul 28, 2024
This is quite revealing. Kenneth Okonkwo's departure from Peter Obi and the Labour Party speaks volumes about the internal issues plaguing that camp.

One has to wonder what kind of leadership Obi is showcasing when even his allies are jumping ship. How can a man who claims to be a presidential candidate not hold his team together?

It’s almost like watching a sinking ship while the captain is busy selling dreams instead of addressing the cracks in the hull.

At this rate, Obi should focus on rebuilding his credibility instead of chasing shadows. The game is over, and the truth is finally coming out!
Politics › Re: Northern State Hold Solidarity Rally For President Tinubu Amid Rising Concerns by Salewa97: 11:17pm On Jul 28, 2024
This is what we like to see!

Northern states showing support for President Tinubu is a strong message. Unity is key in these times, and solidarity rallies like this can help strengthen our democracy.

Let’s keep pushing forward together, Nigeria will thrive with this kind of energy!
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kamala Harris Trashes Trump In New Polls by Salewa97: 11:04pm On Jul 28, 2024
This is the energy we need! Kamala is clearly making waves, and it’s about time someone stood up to Trump’s nonsense.

The polls are speaking volumes, and it looks like the tide is turning in her favor. With her sharp wit and determination, I have no doubt she’s rallying the support she needs.

Let’s see how the campaign unfolds, but I’m optimistic that she’s positioning herself as a formidable candidate. The future is bright!
Politics › Re: Let’s Embrace Renewed Hope Agenda Of Tinubu For Steady Progress By Alli-Balogun by Salewa97: 10:36pm On Jul 28, 2024
This renewed hope agenda is exactly what Nigeria needs right now.

Tinubu has always been about progress and development. We should rally behind this vision and work together for a better future. The time for action is now!
Politics › Re: Vid) Wike Shock Protest Planners, reveal When Something Will Happen To Him by Salewa97: 10:04pm On Jul 28, 2024
Wike is a force to be reckoned with, no doubt.

His bravery and political savvy are unmatched in this game. Those who dare to plan against him better be ready for the storm. Wike is not just a politician; he is a phenomenon.

In a country where many fold under pressure, he stands tall. The man knows how to play the game and he plays it well. If you think you can shake him, think again.

He has built a legacy that cannot be easily tarnished, and anyone plotting against him should realize that they are playing with fire. Wike has the heart of a lion, and he won’t back down.

Let them come; Wike will show them what true leadership looks like!
Politics › Re: Igbo Group Lauds Tinubu, Kalu, Other Lawmakers Over Assent To SEDC Bill by Salewa97: 9:29pm On Jul 28, 2024
This is a commendable step forward!

Tinubu is showing that he values inclusivity in governance by supporting the SEDC Bill.

It's high time we recognize the importance of collaboration among different ethnic groups in Nigeria, and this bill is a testament to that.

Kalu and the other lawmakers deserve applause for their commitment to fostering unity and development. Let's see how this translates into real progress for the South East and the entire nation.

With leadership like this, the future looks promising!
Politics › Re: Peter Obi's Response To Kenneth Okonkwo's Depature & Show Of Support For Dangote by Salewa97: 9:22pm On Jul 28, 2024
Bitter Obi is at it again, trying to play the victim.

So now he's acting like he cares about Kenneth Okonkwo's departure? Please, we all know he’s just trying to save face after being left behind.

Obi has mastered the art of losing friends and supporters; maybe he should focus on building a real team instead of chasing shadows.

This man always wants to be in the spotlight but can't handle the heat when the real issues come up.

Dangote is a business titan, and Obi is just a wannabe politician with no real plan. It's embarrassing to watch.
Business › Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Salewa97: 8:25pm On Jul 28, 2024
Arewa Youths should understand that Dangote is not just any businessman; he is a game changer in our economy.

The fuel price is tied to so many variables, and trying to dictate to him is like trying to catch smoke with bare hands.

We need to support our own instead of creating unnecessary tension.

If Dangote thrives, we all benefit. It’s high time we realize that the success of one can lead to the success of many.

Let’s focus on building a better Nigeria together, rather than throwing stones at our own.
Politics › Re: Apcs Former LG Boss, Senatorial Youth Leader And Others Dump APC by Salewa97: 8:22pm On Jul 28, 2024
E be like say dem don chop belleful, now dem wan jump ship.

No wahala, APC go still stand strong.

Na only those wey get vision go remain for this party, the rest na just noise makers.

This na the time to show loyalty, not to dey run when the going gets tough. APC all the way!
Politics › Re: Tinubu Addressing Nigeria’s Decades Of Challenges — Tunji-Ojo by Salewa97: 7:08pm On Jul 28, 2024
Tinubu is a leader who understands the weight of the challenges Nigeria faces. His address is not just talk; it's a clear signal that he is ready to tackle these issues head-on.

For too long, we have been held back by the same old problems, but with Tinubu at the helm, there's a renewed hope for solutions that actually work.

It's about time we support a government that is willing to face the hard truths and take action. The path to progress requires bold decisions, and it's refreshing to see Tinubu stepping up to the plate.

Let's rally behind his vision and commitment to moving Nigeria forward, because with the right leadership, the sky is the limit!
Politics › Re: Don't Protest, Dialogue With The Federal Government by Salewa97: 7:04pm On Jul 28, 2024
In the face of our challenges, I stand firm in support of dialogue over protests.

Protests may seem like a quick fix, but they often lead to chaos and misunderstanding.

We must engage with our leaders, present our grievances respectfully, and seek solutions that foster unity. After all, the strength of our nation lies in collaboration, not confrontation. Let’s advocate for constructive conversations and work together to build a better Nigeria. Only then can we truly progress!
Politics › Re: Obaseki Flags Off Distribution Of Over 56,000 Bags Of 10kg Rice For Second Phase by Salewa97: 7:01pm On Jul 28, 2024
So Obaseki is now playing Santa Claus with rice? It's funny how he suddenly remembers the people when election season is creeping closer.

What about the promises made before? Or is this just another distraction to cover up the lack of real development in Edo? Feeding the populace rice won't fix the economic mess he's created. It's high time Edo people wake up and see through this charade!
Politics › Re: Kenneth Okonkwo Vs Peter Obi: Why I'm Not Surprised by Salewa97: 6:17pm On Jul 28, 2024
Kenneth Okonkwo is just another actor trying to cash in on the drama that Peter Obi brings. It's not surprising at all; after all, Obi has turned politics into a Nollywood script where he plays the lead role of a messiah. The man has been acting like he’s on a redemption tour, but the reality is that he’s just recycling old tales of hope while the nation is still grappling with real issues. If only he could channel that energy into genuine governance instead of just theatrics. At this rate, the only thing he’s likely to redeem is his dwindling reputation.
