helinues: Bro, if we export all this natural resources in bulk, we wouldn't be concerned about how much % FG is taking.
BTW, the % going to states, what have they done about it? No, we are not exploiting it now until we get our Nation when we can fully utilize it. Your 2nd statement. The average cost of infrastructure In south is higher than North. The crumbs given to us isn't enough. I'm not justifying the corruption of our politicians tho. |

helinues: You could not find it cos those other region leaders are dumbo.....
There are so many natural resources to tap from but our leaders are not just creative..
Ordinary different types of rocks alone we have in SW is a big money not to talk of fertile lands for Agriculture Ehn Ehn, So we should continue to tap our remaining resources and the federal government will still come and take it back. I'm even afraid for my dear sorry state as bitumen exploitation will begin now. |

helinues: If the law of the country says you must remit some % to FG, why not export more to have more state % share? And why must we remit the % to the FG? Why must we continue to toil our farms and Fg will be given us crumbs? How many times have you heard they shared the sales of Gold among other states in Souths? |

helinues: So you are waiting to be in control of your resources before transforming your land to heaven on Earth?
Don't be an Ipobian pls Lol, Okay lemme say this. Nigeria government exports cocoa. If about 125tons were exported in July and government gained about 1billion. How many % do you think they will give to the state that owns it. How will the transformation happen? |

helinues: And where is that fertile land located?
Before you dash me clothes, I must see your wardrobe ( Before demanding for a new country, show us the gigantic development happening in the region) The "gigantic development" refused to happen because we don't control our resources. Do you know how much the governments generates from Oyo and Ogun borders? What about seaports? Ain't we doing better in regional government when we control our resources? |

It should rather be a case of let the successful candidate put in a great performance to prove the doubters wrong. Yes, I understand. But you are a Nigerian, you should understand with Nigeria politics. |

EagleNest: Time shall tell. Having advantage doesn't always guarantee match winner! True, but you guys should be the one fronting now tho. But it was recklessness and not spreading your votes that caused it. If atiku eventually won in 2019, He'll do more to SW than SE. We have the right to tell him we voted for him more than the SE. |

Bobby4090: My question is where is Osinbajo in all these calculations. Even if it's coming to the SW doesn't he as a sitting VP have the clout and capacity to fight for the slot. The way the man has just collapsed and allowed Tinubu to dominate the scene and discussions is too strange to understand. Its either Buhari has crippled his VP politically or that he Osinbajo realized he cannot match Tinubu's networks hence decided to quietly disappear to the background. Have you heard fashola, Fayemi, Aregbesola, tinubu talking about 2023? Everyone is working at the background. It's not being loud that can do it. |

Esseite: There are a whole lot of infrastructure, e.g the Abuja rail, the interstate expressway and bridges, but let's not dabble on the past.
With the right policies, a president can control its currency thereby devaluing other currencies..
China is constantly devaluing its currency, it's supposed to be higher than the US Dollar today.. but with the right policy, they felt constant devaluing would bring more patronage. You started it of course. I can only say on Abuja rail that's all. The two useless southern presidents were favouring North. If the oil sales and price of crude oil were still the same as that of Jonathans I believe he would have done better. Tho his nonchalant attitude towards insecurities can't be over looked. Currency is just like bitcoin that go up and down. Diversifying to agriculture is not easy as everyone thinks, because if he diversify in 2015 - 2017, Nigeria will still stand still and not move forward, lots of expenses wouldn't be paid, even the governors might not see allocations except those oil producing governors sha because our current outputs cannot pay for our expenses and infrastructures. Can we get 3trillion immediately we diversify? No. Diversifying should have occurred as early as 2003. Tho, they have begin to diversify now but you can't see the results now (probably by 2025). Cocoa takes an average of 3 - 5 years to grow (tho we have two types) Palm kernel in South too takes an average of 4yrs to grow. The only option we have currently that you'll see the results immediately is restructuring and cutting down of government expenses. You can't compare China to Nigeria. If we continue devaluing our currency, it will have lots of negative impact on us, esp on loan. |

Esseite: Yet Buhari won 2019 with only a difference of about 500k from the SW, despite Osibanjo being VP and the unleash of thugs at various areas not APC inclined.
I have told you, these are all psychological media hype to cloud your thoughts.. nothing else. Oga, PDP (Jonathan) won south west except Osun state in 2011 despite the south west governors being in ACN (except Ondo governor LP) What will you say about that? The guy is right. If it's not a Yoruba president. South west votes usually got divided |

Esseite: The south voted for Jonathan, because it's their choice, he paid us with a better economy with dollar at N150 alongside unemployment at a record low. Lol, that is all? Any infrastructure? And BTW, no one not even a president can control dollar. PMB is just unlucky that crude oil fall during his tenure |

Esseite: Lol.. why didnt the South meet on an open field in 2015 against Jonathan, why did the SW pick vice while fronting the North, yet opposed to the SE picking Vice in 2023 and opting for a Northerner aswell?
The same way the East cant dictate the presidency coming to it on a platter, is same way the South cant dictate the presidency being its turn. Why did all the south voted for Jonathan? 2011 What did he pay us in return? |
