It really becomes cumbersome and time taking when you
want to format [to install a new operating system or want
to
reinstall the existing operating system] your operating
system and you have to install all your applications once
again,but have no worries solution is here! STEPS Open the drive in which your windows is installed. Go to program files, click open and you get a list of software
installed (applications) on your computer. Now the software folders which start with "windows"
caption are system files and need not be moved as they
come pre-installed with the operating system. And the softwares which
require a certain registration or
key's can't be moved directly as
that of those which don't
require any type of key for this
you require a software named "SymMover" and its free (Google
it and download it). with the help of software you can
move
these applications to non
windows hard drives. In symmover you add files from
your windows hard drive to
non-windows hard drives and
shift it. Once you move all your applications. format your system
and install your new operating system. After installing your windows operating system install
symmover onto your new operating system and restore
back your applications files from your non-windows
hard drive to windows hard drive folder (in programs
folder)using symmover. NOTE Make sure you use the software instead of doing things
manually. Learn how to use software before hand however its easy
to use. Windows hard drive is generally denoted by "local disk
C". For 64bit operating systems there are two program
folders one is x86 and other is normal program files.So
move both of these program files while using symmover. Move the applications to a non - window hard drive
only. Install your new operating system in old windows hard
drive only and not in the one you moved applications to.
